If we draw away, we simply must get a club that can accommodate a healthy away support.
Please not Newport or wimbledon or Shrewsbury or Barnet / Brentford. Please!
1800 at Brentford in 2013. We won’t need more than that will we? Not for Brentford as not a glamour tie. If it’s Chelsea we will take 4.500/5000

Brentford might not be a glamour tie normally BUT this time it would be the fifth round of the FACup.
Something that not many of us will have ever seen us play in.
Very true hound yes the demand might be more than i initially thought.

Any Premiership side away or anyone at home

Anything else is a disappointing draw.

Was listening to some fans on way back to the car. Basically they were saying if we get a big team away, they'd be getting a half season ticket so they'd get a ticket to the "once in a lifetime" game.
Told my mate at work about what they said. His reply, I might be going to get two myself on Tuesday morning. Amazing what a cup run can do.

I'd like to get as far as possible in the competition, so a home tie against any of the lowest ranked teams left.

If we draw a small club away there would be no guarantees of getting a ticket. They may insist on full Sth first.

No point worrying about tickets until the draws made, especially if we're at home!

we might take 5k, 1500 will be sat in the pub watching on t.v., unless they.have increased the. Away capacity just for us :-)

have we 4k or so STHs,  if so, there's only a few.clubs.left with that size of away support available..   time for a lottery....

Why a lottery? If the need arises, it should be whoever's got the most away games logged first like they did Hartlepool the other year.

No team from the 3rd tier has ever got to the FA Cup Final.
Only the League Cup. 50th anniversary this year of Swindon Town winning it in 1969.
Come on Rovers why can’t we make history in 2019
Well no harm in dreaming is there.

Although probably perceived differently then, compared to how, but Spurs were not in the football league when they won in 1901..

Can't believe how excited I am, as a fully grown adult, for a draw for a football game. Gonna be a bloody long day, this...

I don't mean an actual lottery, just that's it might be up in the air as to how they play it.  Cup games attended already,  or league games as well taken into account etc..

Well, when the draw starts, I hope all Rovers fans start repeating the following until our name comes out "Please not Millwall, please not Millwall, please not Millwall..." and cross fingers for extra insurance! 😂

I'm not even arsed if it is Millwall. Rather them than get an arse pounding at the Etihad.

Well, yes that is a good idea.
Apparently though stuff like that doesn’t have a bearing on what happens in other places.

Being purely selfish I hope we get a winnable game that should hopefully see us through to the next round as the wife has booked a weekend away in Prague for my birthday so I'll be gutted if we get a plum tie and I miss it! Unless it gets moved to the Friday night then I can do both.

Newport away - my mate's a director  Or Ashton Gate will have around 4,000 away tickets, not bad, but also plenty for those of us with a BS postcode

And most of all, either of them are eminently winnable.

-------

funny you are all saying not Millwall  been thinking that for months
here's what I posted in the P& O competition a few days before I knew Charlton were "non triers" fortunately I amended the selection just before kick off
The fact is Charlton must be right pi$$ed off at our progress

------

Charlton away in the cup is the most depressing match possible apart from Millwall the thought of a visit to a place that was formerly part of "England"

no hesitation here in predicting Rovers to lose  for the competition

but it would be nice to get them here under our own "flood"lights to finish them off

then depression suddenly turns to joy

--------------------------
just been reading the team that will be playing on the paddy field so after a stewards enquiry we have an amended selection cannot believe that Belgium mob have picked a  weakened team (haven't got enough subs)  so now predict a Doncaster win and hopefully i can look forward to this match

please not Millwall please not Millwall please not Millwall

...... or, to avoid an away game we could,  like in the Halifax bank advert, stand up and click our heels and repeat, “there’s no place like home”.
