It's only just sinking in.

736 clubs in the FA Cup this year and we've got beyond 720 of them.

I'm starting to think daft thoughts.

Home tie against Wimbledon or Newport or Shrewsbury or Barnet or even Brentford or Millwall or Swansea.

Who knows? Could be a historically good run.

It's not very often we get to say we got further in the FA Cup than Arsenal.

Bristol City v Bolton
Arsenal v Man Utd
Accrington v Derby
Brighton v West Brom
Doncaster v Oldham
Man City v Burnley
Middlesbrough v Newport
Newcastle v Watford
Portsmouth v QPR
Shrewsbury v Wolves
Swansea v Gillingham
Millwall v Everton
Wimbledon v West Ham
Crystal Palace v Tottenham
Chelsea v Sheff Wed
Barnet v Brentford

Still on for the divisional award are us, Wimbledon, Pompey and Shrewsbury but the latter 2 dependant on replays, so it could just be Wombles and us in R5.

I wasn't caring for much of an FA Cup run as I think the League is definitely the priority, however, I find myself like you thinking about allsorts of possibilities that might get us to a quarter/semi final.

Given Sadlier and Downing made their debuts today, it could actually help us in the league as they get more game time. What with Smith to come back in, we have a great chance to do something special.

The way Copps celebtated on Sadlier's back when the winner went in, you get the feeling the players are feeling the same!

The next 2 league games could determine our play-off credentials - Pompey away, followed by DF's Peterborough at home.

Interestingly, Portsmouth have got Luton on Tuesday night, then us and then probably their Cup replay to contend with.

Ideally, we win both as we need to make up for the draw v Burton and loss v Wycombe so we need to take points off our nearest rivals.

Beginning of February and we’re still in the FA Cup and challenging for the play-offs. Our season is very much alive.

I’d have taken that before we kicked off last August.

Further than Liverpool as well, and the self appointed Champions of Europe.

Leeds are the self appointed Champions of Europe that I was talking about.

It’s just our luck really, get to the 5th round for first time in decades and most of the big guns are already out, knocked on we’ll get Wimbledon

I’ve been thinking the same Filo.

But maybe we settle for drawing Wimbledon at home then we have a chance of reaching the last eight?!

It’s weird watching the Chelsea game knowing we could be playing either of them.

Chelsea make it look easy. They have never got out of second gear.
I would not want rovers playing them.

I can think of several reasons to be fearful of drawing a big club, and wouldn't expect to get past them, but... anything can happen at a party  :santa:

Would we really want Millwall? never mind their idiot supporters they are just a team of gerrit forrard to big lads up front. We couldn't cope with the bombardment
