Major Rail Disruption today
« on February 17, 2019, 01:41:58 pm by ss1953 »
I’m on the train from Edinburgh to Donny. It’s being terminated at Newcastle. Due to signalling failure around Retford.

Presume trains from London also badly affected.

If the next train is on time to Donny, I’ll still miss the first half!

Hope I don’t miss the match and the live broadcast stuck on a train

I saw on Twitter that it was affecting Palace fans travelling up. Wouldn't surprise me if kick off is pushed back to allow a bit more time.

I doubt that kick off will be put back.
The game is being broadcast live all over the world.

No chance of the TV schedule changing because of that.

LNER reporting the problem has been resolved but still residual delays. Just had a quick read of Palaces twitter and it seems to have affected a few, but also some saying they are already on their way.

LNER have agree a ticket swap arrangement with all the major other trainlines so you can take an alternative route if feasible.

I saw the trains at approx 11:30 a couple of miles south of Retford stationary both directions, the network Rail vans were in attendance so hopefully it was sorted soon

An on the next train from Newcastle arrives 7 minutes to 4. Hope there are no more “residual” delays and taxis at the station!!!
