Need too, Andrew poor again. Constantly giving the ball away and his crossing is dreadful

Aye Andrew didn't have a great game today, but there were quite a few of our players whose passing was well below our usual standards imo.

It is beginning to look as though Andrew or Crawford are the whipping boys.

Crawford has been very good recently but today he was terrible. Everyone has a poor game though.
Second half we had enough chances to win that comfortably

Dickos he’s not a middle three player especially away from home there are other positions where he would use his skills better.

Like where? We dont play any other way than a 433? Hes not a forward either so shall we stick him in the back 4 and get rid if he doesnt perform? And for what its worth I think hes been immense since his horror show at Fleetwood.

I think you can only play smith instead of marquis, he’s no good on the left wing.
Crawford is a middle three player as that’s where he’s played very well for the last dozen games or so.
If we’d started copps instead of smith I think we would’ve won

McCann has said he plays a quick one, a smart one and Marquis. Today for the first half we lacked the creativity of the smart one.

Agree with all this. Smith is wasted out wide. Needs to play down the middle.

Agree on the Coppinger thing.
He has to play as much as possible during the run in if we are to be sure of staying in the top six.

Andrew has been average to poor for a while now. I don't think, if we do go up, he'll be good enough. I don't particularly think he's good enough as it is. Or if he is, he's doing a good job of hiding it.

Can’t play 3 up front if no midfield control as they will never get any service. Without both Kane and Copps we had none.
When Copps came on at half time it was a different game.
Mind you they will have had one heck of a b.....ing from GM at the interval.
How we didn’t score I don’t know. Mixture of poor finishing and bad some very bad luck, desperate defending and good goalkeeping.

He's not the same player we had glimpses of last season and I'm not sure why he's one player who'll be getting a deal in the coming weeks. I'd give Amos a try.

Andrew got injured in his 4th game for us last season, it wasn't enough time for us to see anything and recovering from a season-long injury is always going to be tough. I think he's been alright this season but I agree we need better than he is currently giving us if we are to progress.

By the way Amos as not been playing left back for Hartlepool when he does play so how will that make him better than Andrew in league 1. By the way can anyone tell me how any player whose been on loan comes back a better player. I’ve not seen one.

I suspect Kane will go back to Liverpool a better player

For Rovers own players one classic example about 25 years ago was O’Neill Donaldson, not a regular for Rovers, scored a hatful at Mansfield in a few games on loan, and was then promptly sold for 50K to Wednesday

Just think back to Mark Duffy as well. He was an in and out player but improved no end after he left us.

This is Crawford first season. It takes time to adjust mentally and physically. He's got talent in the locker so don't write him off.

Crawford hasn't been that bad overall he's actually been good just seems his bad games are very bad. With Andrew i've said it before that he was out for a whole season with a bad injury which imo takes a season and a preseason to get over. So don't rule him out he obviously has some quality. He could do with some proper competition imo and hopefully Amos is good enough to provide that.

Steve, where has Amos been playing for Hartlepool out of interest? i don't follow them that closely

Do you really think that loans are only beneficial to the club loaning them in?

Well Harry Kane, Jesse Lingard, Townsend, Loftus-Cheek, Jack Wilshire, Sturridge and many more all comeback from loans to play for england and really good clubs but obviously the loan had nothing to do with that...

He obviously means our players that have been loaned out.

He did say how any player. But the same principal applies, a lot of our players will improve by the loans but just not enough to make pro football the thing is we don't see them every week to judge the improvement from the loan

Our players on loan to other clubs in recent times which one as come back a better player that go straight into first team. They will get games yes but going to Danny he as not played regularly and not at left back.
