No Blaney, because he’ll be on the bench on Saturday and could get injured playing today

Did not see it as I’d left.
I only saw the second half....including the late equaliser.......I thought Morecambe were much the better side. Not sure if they had more experience players in their team. I was interested in how Alfie Beestin played as I genuinely want him to succeed. Unfortunately he didn’t stand out at all for me. Wasn’t involved enough and in my eyes didn’t graft to get more involved.
Yes hound it’s about progression and what the U23 development should be hopefully finding a gem or gems who could put pressure on the first team. Now Reives Boocock may fall into that but still U18 so the next year will see how he develops.
All the first team squad players and Blaney a part Jones were not used with games we’ve got coming up so it was not a true second 11. But it’s just a term for our development squad I would think.
Speaking of second team games, I see that Sunderland have put out a very strong side for their EFL Cup game at Bristol Rovers. They obviously fancy a trip to Wembley.
