Was Grant McCann ever that fast as a Player ?
« on May 05, 2019, 06:49:44 am by Donnywolf »
After JMs goal he set off down the Touchline like a "rocket" - and fair play to him - he deserved the celebration

I was chuffed beyond belief that we made the play offs - especially remembering that Posh got shut of GM earlier this Season saying they did not think he could take them to where they wanted to be - Play offs minimum

Our last Manager became our ex Manager as tasked with a top 6 finish he did not think he had the financial clout to do it and left - eventually ending up at Posh of course

So although I am pleased personally - and pleased for the Fans in general - I am really pleased for those inside the Club that have been vindicated with decisions they have taken but above all for GM himself. You could SEE right there what that goal meant to him (Point proved)

I would have been running down the line with him to congratulate him but would never have caught him

The joy of everyone off the bench was great to see.

He is clearly a man of logic, and seems to have an eye for a player.....
Long may he reside at the helm

McCall WAS many fans favourite and when McCann was given the job it was thought he may have been the cheaper choice as McCall may have asked for more money to be made available! Yet within a few games it was clear to most McCann was his own man and knew given the opportunity , he’d make a good fist of it. He has fronted the cameras on all occasions and said what needed saying and gave the players their heads and chances to show what they had to offer and stood by those who needed just to be believed in . He is an astute manager who studies his opponents and tries where possible to exploit what advantages he can. He is also aware that we have to punch above our over all abilities and the players know their jobs and what needs to be done .
Charlton will be no different but getting a sound result to take to the Valley will be his plan mind now and I doubt anyone will underestimate him this time.

Grant did a great tweet last night about people having doubted him, and us. Clearly aiming one the way of London Road there, and rightly so. Poetic justice and vindication for him yesterday, that was.

He has done a great job. Best thing that could be said about him is that nobody ever raises in anger him being an ex-Dingle and SKitson, assisted by King SKitson, Cliff Byrne. Think he is safely one of our own now.

Wasn’t my choice and must admit to being underwhelmed. Isn’t it great to be proven so wrong  :scarf: :woohoo:

He’s great. No BS. Genuine. We have ourselves a gem. Long may he reign.

He wasn’t as quick down the line as he was when they disallowed the late goal against Charlton

I actually look forward to his radio Sheffield interviews pre match, he talks with so much honestly and openness. Zero BS, and just from the heart.  You can always tell tho that beating under the skin is someone hard as nails. A bit of a smiling assassin. , i think that firm but fair approach (but dont test me) has  completely won over the players . You can see that it's a complete unified squad, absolutely all in it together!!

I’m absolutely chuffed to bits for Grant McCann that we’ve made the play-offs.

I knew nothing about him when he was appointed but I’ve really taken to him over the course of this season. He seems a very genuine guy.

So I’m delighted as a fan that we held onto that 6th place, but I’m equally delighted for Grant. Stuff Peterborough and stuff Ferguson!

Distinctly average as a player at my club but none the less had a good career in League One and a wand of a left foot .
