I was the same last friday night - saturday Campsall and both you and I sound about the same age .

Have I got any advice to get you through today ?

Absolutely not I'm afraid .

At 2-1 up last saturday I watched that scoreboard tick towards 90 minutes every 30 seconds .

All the best  to you and ALL Rovers fans today and I sincerely hope you get the result you want .

I had a pint in the Pub in Smeaton with friends, just touched on our game tonight with a couple of friends who support Leeds, came home walked the dog and slept like a log.
Am I up for it, of course I am, but what will be will be, I consider it has already been a great season, anything else is a bonus.
If we don't make it I will be as disappointed as everyone else. but it will not be the end of the world, probably the beginning of even better things to come, with reality now kicking in of quite a few teams above and around us being managed wrongly and now  having to pay the price, and the chickens coming home to roost.
I fancy the lads to do us proud today and win anyway.

As you say though a good Season so far whatever happens today - I will bring some Celebrations or better still Heroes and we can chomp them and hope for Celebrations and Heroes showing up

Sure we can do it and hoping for a fast start to assist with the nerves of the Players themselves COYR

I agree with all you say Brian but it will still feel like the end of the world if we don’t make it.
We have been 6th for so long now it would be excruciating to blow it in the 46th game.
As you say what will be will be.  :scarf:

It would be a bitter blow Footie wise - but my major disappointment would come from the fact that we had lost out to shhhh you know who !

We all know through experience things can go horribly wrong or amazingly right on a spin of a ball or on an I'll timed whistle. All we can do is believe. All good things come to those who are patient on and off the pitch.

I'll say one thing about Coventry fans they give their team tremendous backing away from home , the nosiest we've had at Oakwell all season by far .

You lads need to get solidly behind your team today .

The home fans at the ricoh were by far the loudest fans I've heard in an away match...

I am going to say it for a 3rd time.
WE THE FANS NEED TO MAKE MORE NOISE THAN EVER BEFORE AT THE KEEPMOAT. We will be the 12th man if we do and it will make all the difference imo to the outcome today.
Go a goal down we NEED TO MAKE EVEN MORE NOISE NOT LESS!!!
So all south stander’s  come on don’t disappoint please, because i don’t want to hear those sky blue’s sing.
NOISE NOISE and more NOISE. Let’s blow the roof off.  :that:

There have been quite a few people grumbling about how we have tailed off recently and have not yet been able to confirm our top six place.
Peterborough and Coventry and to a lesser extent, Burton, have had opportunities to catch us.
Only Peterborough still have a chance.
It has to be said though that players sometimes buckle under the pressure and not winning vital games isn’t just a Rovers thing.
Look at the top six teams in the PL.
Only Liverpool and Man City are winning games with any regularity.
With four other teams battling for the Champions League spots of third and fourth, Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea are all having bad runs and none of them are making a very good job of getting the job done.
In the last 12 games played by these four teams only one win has been recorded.

In the Championship, Leeds have caved in yet again.
Even top of the table Norwich have one win in their last five games.

In our division, Luton have limped over the line when the divisional title seemed a certainty at one time while both Portsmouth and Sunderland have blown good opportunities to overtake them with poor runs of results.
Sunderland have no wins in their last three games.

The top of L2 is no different with teams faltering and allowing others to threaten their promotion prospects.

The point I am trying to get over is that we are not the only team to be suffering late season nerves and if things are not great on the pitch the team needs the moaners to stay of their backs and help things along with good support.

That was nervy, not much between the teams, good football, not so good football, and two managers who did everything right to try and win a game of football.
There is one thing about following this team it is never boring, bot actually both keepers had very little to do, the teams and play not having much between them.
I thought on the day we just shaded it and had that little bit extra, although their No25 who came on as a substitute looked at one time as if he could make the difference, he is a good player.
So Peterborough have to eat our exhaust fumes, us being the centre of attraction for this season, some big games and even less sleep for quite a few of us.
Charlton on the horison, hopefully no summer down pours then, and the pressure all on them to beat the Little Old Donny, no doubt the horrible little man in charge will be full of it,and think we are easy.
For now let's enjoy our moment, three big clubs to overcome whoever we play and where, can we do it can be discussed more fully tomorrow, let's enjoy our moment and then think of things to come, and the answer is, of course we can.
