Due to the last guy (who was not a success - indeed you called for him to be sacked) resigning in early June, McCann was not appointed until the last days of June last season. Despite this, he managed to recruit well in this very narrow window available and put together a team playing good and effective football right from the off.

Arguably he is in a stronger position now both knowing his players better and with more time to recruit than he was afforded last year.

Certainly no time to be fretting and panicking.

From the game v charlton we’ve lost 7 of the starting 11.
One might be re-signing.
But it’s not ridiculous to be slightly concerned, we’ve got to find 7 players of a quality that will improve on those that have left.
McCann has proven he can make these type of signings but this summer must be the most depleted squad we’ve had in a long time
Two years ago you were telling  all the doom and gloom merchants to stop moaning.
Now you are all doom and gloom. Do you want DF back? Then we really would have something to be concerned about.

Get a grip mate.
I’m not moaning, it’s an obvious concern that we’ve lost 7 of our best players
Wow steady on MATE ( i have never met you so appreciate it if you stop calling me mate, thank you. )
it’s you who need to get a grip. You are the one getting angry not me.
I am not posting to have another spat with you Dickos ok. All I have said is you seem ( maybe I am wrong ) that you are not happy with all at DRFC and you have been for quite some time now.
I don’t want a slanging match with you again. Life is too short for that.  ;)

That’s an odd outlook
Everyone is replaceable getting someone to replace Kane, wilks, downing, etc of the same quality is the concern. Not just replacing them

Yeah we need to do it i'm not disagreeing there however we built that team last season with a significant time delay due to your mate (was GM even in charge this time last year?) so i'm not sure what the concern is really. We are in no way in a situation that is outside the norm, so you must be concerned every preseason.

Marosi gone - Lawlor straight replacement
Butler gone - likely 3rd or 4th choice next season anyway
Downing gone - wasn't our player
Andrew - likely to 're sign
Kane - not our player
Wilkes - not our player
Rowe - may be missed but is replaceable

So only really need to replace the loaned with other loanees we're nearly back to where we were.

Don't think we need to worry just yet.

We still have to sign players to replace wilks and Kane regardless of whether they’re loan players or not especially if we’re wanting to improve the squad on last year.

I’m not sure every pre season we lose 7 of our starting line up, both captains, our first choice goalie (arguable)

Look I think McCann will replace them with players just as good app I’m saying it’s a massive summer for us having to find players at least as good that’s all.
And that at the moment is a slight concern

It’s 9th June. Everyone is on holiday. Don’t you think GM is aware of that and as he has stated Premier league clubs are queuing up to loan us their young starlets.
Reasons to be cheerful i would think. No?

Of course he’s aware,

He also said we won’t be as reliant on loans this year

Which should tell you that he's got plenty of irons in the fire.

We signed a dozen players in the summer of 2016 after relegation, Ferguson built almost an entirely new squad and it paid off with promotion.

It's a challenge for sure but I have faith in the manager and his team of staff to assemble the right kind of squad for us to push on.

The massive difference being we were replacing players that weren’t good enough and didn’t want.
If money wasn’t an issue I’d imagine McCann would have chosen to keep all 7 of these

Why is money an issue?

To be fair money is always an issue. We have a budget.

The expression that 'money is an issue' is a negative. Money is a consideration should be the correct phrase.

I think you’re misunderstanding

“If money wasn’t an issue”

All this means if we could spend any amount then I’m sure McCann would be trying to sign Kane, wilks, downing.

Just like if money wasn’t an issue, I’d be living in Barbados and driving around in a Ferrari.
It’s nothing negative at all
