Tshibola
« on August 02, 2019, 11:50:31 am by RoversAlias »
A seemingly reliable Reading journo on Twitter (I know, I know) has resurrected the talk of us signing Aaron Tshibola from Villa. Moore did mention wanting another one in for midfield yesterday, so he could be that target.

@ChronCourtney on Twitter, actually posted yesterday but no one seems to have mentioned it on here.

No because he mentioned he wanted to bring in another midfield that would bring something different, the lad is 6’3 and build like a shed so would 100% be different to what we have already.

I took looking for something different to be a more attacking midfield player or a ball carrier. At the moment we've got Whiteman and Sheaf who are more holding midfielders who want to get on the ball which is the kind of position Tsibola would want to play i'd imagine.

Person who wrote the Tweet comes across as a bit of a knob, mind. Describing this rumoured move as "sad really" on the player's part. TLOD readings off the charts!

It would allow Whiteman to play further forward

To be fair, a player moving to a big side for £5m ending up at Rovers on a free transfer three years later isn't the typical career trajectory.
