Help the club build
« on August 04, 2019, 07:33:45 pm by Roversfan1 »

I'm glad fans raise whatever issues they see however fickle they may be. A football club is first and foremost a business, and businesses need to make money. In order to do this every little detail has to be questioned. These minor issues make up a bigger picture, this constructive criticism may find its way to the right people who may fix the said issue. No company is perfect.

Point proven last week we had a debate over contactless payments at the food stalls, where once they had none now they are trialing it. Obviously this trickled up to the powers that be.

Keep raising those concerns to help our club become the best it can be .

The comments about dirty seats for the first game of the season need to be addressed. Trivial perhaps but its not good enough.

Exactly, it's all about the experience. When you look at these big companies like apple, going into there stores you can feel the detail they go to to impress you and make you happy. May seem petty to some but this stuff is what makes a difference. Maybe a feedback night should be arranged or even a general comments box for management?

Our seats in the West had been cleaned this year.

. If card payment services are being introduced it’s because of the cost of the food and also most persons baulk at paying for a second rate product as well as waiting in a long queue because the service is so poor . What is most baffling is the roll out , why couldn’t it have been introduced throughout the stadium from day one.

S M explained a few days ago why the west stand wasn’t included yet.. I can’t remember precisely what he said but there was a logical reason..

Did you get a ‘reasonable’ reply SM when you asked about opening up the 2nd bar in the West Stand?

A crowd of nearly 8,000 on Saturday, one bar open, 3 staff serving & resulted in a 10+ minute wait to get served at 2.30. There must have been problems in the Belle Vue Bar too? Seemed to be less staff serving again culminating in long slow moving queues. Just appears that the ‘proletariat’ are getting a rough deal.

One more try then its The Cheswold pre match for the four of us with revenue lost to the club.

No burger van in attendance either (after I believe you distinctly said there would be on another post). Disappointment for two young girls & an inconvenient parking spot as a result.

The street vendor had to cancel at the last minute due to unforseen circumstances.

The bar was open at the top end of the East stand near north stand before the game so don't don't know what you mean with opening the 2nd bar in the west.

If everyone stopped buying from them they would soon change their ways or try to get out of the contract as it wouldn't be worth it for them, which could be the best thing for us

We changed from our usual pre-match routine of lunch at the Cheswold specifically because of the 'Street Food Van' which was advertised. I promised my daughters they could have burgers as a treat.
So there was a great deal of disappointment when we got to the ground to find no burger / street food van.

Too late by then to revert to a Cheswold lunch so we had no choice but to eat in the Belle Vue Bar.
No burgers on sale in there either, only pies. Cue more disappointed daughters!

The service in the BVB is normally excellent in my opinion - certainly a stark contrast to the service in the West Stand concourse.
But on Saturday it was painfully slow in the BVB, and of course there is the usual problem of finding seats at a table for the four of us to eat. You can't stand at the bar with two young daughters.

It's nobody's fault if the food vendor had to cancel at the last minute but as 'captive customers' we didn't have a great experience and I wouldn't repeat it. Back to the Cheswold for the rest of the season!

As for the service in the West Stand concourse ..... well, it has always been dire and I saw no improvement on Saturday but I've given up expecting any improvement on that.

I usually walk to the Cheswold for our pre-match drinks. We weren't there on Saturday but I enjoy the walk and decent beer in there.
When I've arrived late the BVB has been ok but I very rarely buy anything on the west stand concourse. Overpriced and poor there for me.

I've mentioned this before - TV's in concourses - despite my years my vision is good but you need binoculars to read anything on them - and the picture is distorted!. I haven't been round all the tv's but the one where I stand at half time (West stand - south corner) is really poor - too many advertising banners

We haven’t really looked after the stadium much have we since we’ve moved in , god knows what it will be like in 10-20 years and we should be proud we are in a decent stadium if you look at the state of some of the old grounds in the country
