From the Dale forum.......fair or not?
« on August 10, 2019, 06:01:09 pm by Wiltshire Exile »
Interesting comment on the Dale forum following today’s game:

...............but I’m glad to see they’ve abandoned the rotten gamesmanship that typified their play under McCann and Ferguson.

Is this fair.......or do they have a point? I haven’t seen the Rovers too much over the last couple of years, so can’t really have an opinion.

Might be referring to JMs diving.

Marquis wasn't really a diver. Shithouse windup merchant Kitson yes, diver, not really. Rowe on the other hand...

JM did dive, a lot. I used to say regularly to my mate that I wished he would try and stay on his feet more and lash in a shot but most times went down too easily.

Then sat there on his arse moaning at everyone.

The only lot that was time waisting was Rochdale, in the second half at every throw in, every goal kick, and every substitution, the latter they were arguing with the ref, the first subbed player after argued with the ref as he wanted to go of the long way but the reff said no short side, then he slowly walked to the goal line but never left the pitch all the way round so the ref booked him

Its always the same with every teams supporters and we do it as we well. Our players are these honest as the day is long and wouldn't say boo to a goose, whereas the oppostion are a set of cheating bas**rds put on this earth to rob the rovers of our derserved three points

Marquis went down at the slightest touch and refs were wise to it. Bought us a fair few free kicks though

If you are the one-up then you have to be sensitive to the foul as possession is lost totally in attack if you are losing out in a tussle stranded 20 yards from your nearest team mate.
