John dropped. Daniels comes in.

Must be injured as he's not on the bench and we've only got 4 loans in our squad.

Not dropped.....injured in training.

Daniels looked good today. He is a huge guy but has good positional sense so his lack of pace not a real issue.

A very hard point won, against the best team by a country mile we have played in the league this season up to press.
Doubts that we can mix it with the best in this division, as long as we don't suffer injuries to our midfield and strikers should be fading, as we carry on getting something out of a very hard set of fixtures against top half teams.
This was a good performance, and probably a fair  result with both teams missing chances to win the game, which was quite even as far as a likely winner until Ennis  had to go off. That changed the game we no longer held the ball up up front and lacked penetration, and came under more and more pressure, with the equaliser coming late in the game, on the face of it deserved for Coventry, but non the less gutting to us supporters.
So we came away with a point, when we could so easily both won and lost a pulsating game, but we are beginning to set our bar ever higher, but injuries are the worry.
If for instance if Whiteman, Sheaf, or Coppinger  picked up a long time out injury we would suffer, and apart from the starters up front today and the lad from Spurs we have nothing that worry teams like Coventry to come on as was highlighted today.
We need a couple to come in in certain areas of the field, especially up front, before it comes to haunt us.

Thought Coventry looked good for large parts but their forwards coach needs sacking. Dire finishing.

Both teams missed chances IDM it was a good game, Coppinger had a chance Taylor, and Anderson made a terrific clearance off the line.
We played well, and they did, a fair result for me although gutted to get so close to a win.

Indeed Selby.. a draw was fair and we had done very well keeping them out.. not having a pop at Taylor but it’s fine margins again..

I thought the team all put a shift in today..

Looks like Cameron John could be out for a few games so hoping Daniels will be a capable replacement

When Wrights 100% fit he'd come in for Daniels imo. No comment on Daniels ability more that Wright is our own player and Daniels will go back to Luton in Jan i'd imagine

Liked the look of Daniels today. Even with Baptiste injured all season, with Anderson, John and Wright fit and with Sheaf a self-proclaimed centre back, we might be sending Daniels back. Especially as the keeper lad on loan is on a roll so can expect to stay with us longer term hopefully.

Have I missed something? From what I heard from the manager, in his broadcast, we will not know the extent of the injury until it’s been assessed, after 48 hours. Yes, the comment does say ‘could’, but it might just as easily  have said ‘may not’. We don’t half like jumping to conclusions.

Click bait 😉 lol

Great if John is back for next Saturday but if not at least we have Daniels and Wright

Same with Ennis if he's not back sterling should be so he will be the loan man up front

It would also be good to sing the Cameron John song on Saturday to show JM that we have moved on from him.

Looking at the extended highlights and reading all the reports, looks like both teams are probably the best footballing teams in this league. You could argue the standard of play is beyond this league at times.

Both sets of fans should be optimistic about our fortunes this season. We know our strengths and we also know our weaknesses but the strengths outweigh the latter.

If we can continue to be relatively lucky with injuries until January, we are good defensively and create chances we are not going to be far off being able to go full tilt at a promotion push.

Of course we hope that Ennis withdrawal was indeed precautionary but hopefully with Sterling back in training, we have a very needy other option up front. We may not have seen the best of Sterling yet but if Pottecino rates him then who are we to doubt.

I'm sure we'd all admit to sneakily hoping to see a certain ex Premier striker to appear on the team sheet sometime soon but probably best to rule it out and if anything happens it's a bonus.

Onwards and upwards.

Daniels looked good yesterday so wouldn't be worried (though I'd rather have John) if he ends up starting next weekend. Built like a brick shithouse as well.
