Reported to be close to signing for Kilmarnock, although our offer is still on the table.

Reckon he would make a great combination with young Ennis - it’s whether he wants it hard or easy - if he’s still thinks he’s competitive he’ll sign for us if he wants to put his feet up he’ll play in Jockland

Makes you wonder if his agent is hankering after a better deal with us, by throwing another club in the mix.

Time for DM to issue a take it or leave it statement; plenty more fish in the sea

His ambition to remain a relevant footballer is gone if he goes to Kilmarnock over us.

Depends who you believe. DM says we have not made an offer and expects him to turn up for training tomorrow. DFP suggest we have made an offer.

I tend to trust DM Moore but take things with a pinch of salt. Results suggest our need for him is not as important as we maybe thought.

My goodness, there’s some serious knee-jerk reactions flying about, based on (not much more than) rumour.

Relevant footballer? What the hell does that mean? What is relevant is that if Kilmarnock make him an offer that is much better than anything he currently has, he’s well within his rights to go there. And that could be totally irrelevant if this Kilmarnock thing is just talk.

As for needing him - to my knowledge, there has been no change in DM’s requirements, he wants a No9. Results have been wonderful, DBR, but an injury to Ennis (God forbid) scuppers us and our results, going forward. The lad was absolutely shattered on Saturday, but gamefully saw the match out. IF Sterling had been fit and eligible, I’m sure DM would have subbed him in the the last 15-20 mins. We definitely need a No9 and, if it isn’t to be VA, it needs to be someone else (and there doesn’t appear to be anyone else around at the moment!).

You are right about Ennis, he was out on his feet at the end of the match.
Luckily we have a week to the next one so he has time to recover.
However, if we have this situation when we have a follow up game on a Tuesday we have to protect our young players, don’t we?

We are still desperate for a striker going forward. We still have to create a lot of chances to score..However on VA I think his time with us should be up.We need to concentrate on ourselves. We've given him weeks worth of free training and it sounds like we are miles apart on what he want to sign if the rumours on that are true.He didn't even come to watch the game on Saturday apparently..

Article in Daily Record - doesn't say any more than we don't already know; however, it amused me that the red-top is referring to us as......... the likes of Doncaster Rovers

I can imagine the money will probably equate. Only difference for me is he’d have to work for a living every week with us and I’d expect him to score for fun in Scotland. Play in front of big crowds at Celtic and Rangers and have an outside chance of European football
