Wenger stayed there too long, much more difficult for a replacement to be a success, much like Manchester United post Fergie.

A bloke sat next to me at work is a Gooner - he’s not disappointed in the news, likes Emery but thinks he’s done a crap job especially recently..

Its about time one of these so called “big” clubs took a chance on a lower profile manager.
How good a job is Chris Wilder doing?

Emery had a different tactic for every half over the last few games. Pick a tactic and stick with it so the players can get used to it. He was giving them instructions and if they didn’t score within 5 minutes he was off changing every thing again.

Massively uninspiring team. The two strikers aside, they are all mediocre. 70m quid on the new winger should have gone on defence. Gary Cahill doing better job at Palace than entire Arsenal back line.

"Emery the enemy" of Arsenal fans departs   would make a good heading

anybody who knows anything about football knows the worst premiership fans are Arsenal fans* (care more about refreshments - "fake expections" arriving late etc [lets not mention Granite XAhkia] ) it seems they have been usurped by their neighbours as the most expensive season tickets

most expensive season tickets 2019/20
https://www.statista.com/statistics/328654/premier-league-teams-ranked-by-most-expensive-season-ticket-price/

yes they had was it 6 years of "fake promises" whilst money went into the new ground

Did emery paper over the cracks in their defence ?  think not it was like a Doncaster comedy as in "Open all hours"

now they are just also rans a team of "untouchable" individuals and journey men from "foreign lands" . Yes London is allegedly" a "foreign country" you might say.

Emery with his noticable dark hair and continual appearance in that Europa league final winning 3 years in a row (including was it giving Liverpool a 2-0 start) looked destined for  a big job and he got it at the Bank de Paris (a.k.a. PSG)

He left there a year early to join Arsenal and last season went 22 matches unbeaten so how did it come to this with the players openly "mocking him" as the Evening Standard says

One hypothetical question to be asked is, would Morinhio have preferred to manage Arsenal rather than Tottenham. Who knows (perhaps they are on his bucket list)

*After that, Caesar's career at Arsenal was effectively finished. George Graham signed Steve Bould (and later Andy Linighan), and Caesar only played five more matches for the side in two seasons. He was part of the Arsenal side that won the old First Division in 1989 but only played in two matches which was not enough games to earn a medal.[3] He became so unpopular with Arsenal fans that some of them booed him when he did take to the field. Even today, he is still regarded by many as one of the club's worst-ever players, and in 2007 he was voted in at Number 3 in The Times poll of the 50 worst footballers to play in the English top flight.[4] He was also voted the Worst Player Ever to play for Arsenal in the fanzine
