I seem to remember us expecting a heavy defeat when we met at the Keepmoat earlier this season.

That turned out pretty good for us, DF and his tactics will decide how the game goes for us as last time he got it all wrong

and i seem to remember expecting a heavy defeat at Barnsley last season and they equalised lateish  & Dingles said Rovers deserved to win .... best team since sliced bread etc   .... came away with half a loan instead of crumbs

just need a bit of "Masonic" ? school boy defending from Peterbread then a one off long range shot for 0-2 and go from there.

Sorry got to go two men in white coats at the door. :byebye:
update
"nil desperandum"  seems to be the phrase of the moment and Peterborough scored "nil" as well

To all the doom and gloom merchants who said we aren’t good enough to make an impact this season.
7 words from me after today’s fabulous performance and result.

DO I NEED TO SAY ANY MORE?

Paul, you don’t need to say anything.
We are ALL very happy about today’s result.
I’m not sure who you include in your group of doom and gloom merchants but suspect that you might be having a pop at people who predicted a loss on the PvO.
I for one am delighted that we won the game today but once again have to say that I didn’t want us to lose even though it was my prediction on there.
I would think that everyone else that said we would lose feels the same way too.

Don’t know about doom mongers but all of the fans mongering doom I think was because of the team selection,Darren Moore playing Thomas,Bingham and Stormy Daniels in the same team at Wimbledon was wrong, and I think that has been proven today,

Need I say any more?

Hound no the PvO is irrelevant.
You know the people I am having a pop at.
We even had a couple of people saying on this forum we were going to get hammered today.
We had nil chance of getting a result. Pretty much saying we may as well hand them the points before kick off to save on the humiliation.

Well only one team was humiliated today and it wasn’t Rovers.  ;)

With Ennis injured who should he have played?
With Anderson suspended and John injured who should he have played?

If he had thrown in Blaney, and Watters and we had got beaten by 3/4/5 goals what would you have said?

Paul I think we was magnificent today but I was just a bit annoyed with shief giving the ball away a bit to much but from the back to the front we were brilliant and beat them in every department

It’s not just at Wimbledon is it,he has played those three before proper players in the last few games, what a difference today with not one of the donkeys starting.

The biggest difference today was the tactics of the oppositions manager,  we have struggled every game since Burton Albion against the same tactics, high press flood midfield stifling our creative players, and hit us on the break or set pieces, and if need be resort to the tactical foul to stop our attacks.
Fergie, none of that three at the back and have a football game and came unstuck, we have better footballers than them. Also for once we actually scored two goals from distance, he could count himself unlucky there as we vary rarely shoot from outside the box, hopefullly we will see more of it.
Taylor and Sadlier looked to back up their wingbacks, who were poor defensively, Mason has always been so, and our midfield were allowed to control the game for the most part.
Their much vaunted strike force were well held by our central defenders and the back four defenders as a unit with Dieng looking very confident dealt with everything that was thrown at them.
Gomes did the simple thing well in an all round better team display, and at the end of the game were looking much more confident  than of late.
Hopefully Sunderland will also think that they can play a more open game against us, our test will come when teams revert back to the Clough junior tactics we have struggled against over the last month to overcome against so called weaker sides. Taking the chances like today, especially from distance can make a big difference,
