Strange division this year
« on January 11, 2020, 05:48:56 pm by BillyStubbsTears »
No team is really impressing.

Rotherham are top with 44 points from 25 games. That is a historically low number at this time of the season. In the past 10 years, only twice has a team not had 51 or more points after 25 games.

Brighton on 49 in 2010/11
Tranmere on 47 in 2012/13, the year we won the title with a very low total of 84 points.

Looks like a historically low number of points could clinch an automatic promotion spot this year. At the moment, no team is on target for more than 77 points.

It certainly seems that lots of teams are pretty similar quality wise, and are all similarly inconsistent.

I think the automatic promotion places may be decided by the January transfer business, and who manages to bring in a bit of extra quality.

Yep very odd league so far. Big game next sat against Coventry. If we can win that we are likely to be in the top six, still with a couple in hand

This is why I think if we pull our finger out and do some good business very soon then this league is there for the taking. The league is poor in my opinion.

The next game is always the biggest. However this one could be a good one, Coventry have been in reasonable form recently and were very good in our game earlier in the season..

I don’t think it is poor.. why is it poor if it is closer and more competitive than when one or two sides are running away with it..

That a team in 15th place on Boxing Day is still potentially competitive for automatic promotion means it is far from a poor league..

Having seen the majority of the teams in this division with my own peepers, in my opinion the standard is not great.

Your right about our next game the biggest I was surprised that Coventry have only lost 3 league games so far a draw against mc dons today after scoring in the first minute they also have the fa cup game vs Bristol on Tuesday night so hopefully a few red cards and a long game with extra time and penalties would be great.
