At least we have received some compensation. The judge said Bolton could have done more to avoid it, yet the obvious sanction was still not applied!

The club were more blameworthy than the Brentford game where the fixture was awarded to Brentford 😳 you sometimes wonder where these people get their reasoning from, if Brentford were awarded the 3 points then surely it should have been the same for us. I wonder if they’ve paid the £4k yet, or will they just decide not to pay that either

The fines are collected by the EFL and the EFL distributes the compensation I believe.

Yes, what should have happened is blatently obvious to everyone except the EFL and the judges.

1. EFL should not have allowed Bolton to start the season until takeover completed.
2. Given they did, they should have suspended them immediately after the takeover didn't happen after the Administrator assured the EFL it would.
3. When Bolton attempted to cancel the Tranmere game, they should have been warned at that point.
4 When they failed to fulfill our fixture, they should have been suspended and charged with Gross misconduct subject to an investigation and disciplinary hearing and be deemed to to have forfeited the game. Plus been issued with a 14 day expulsion notice as the takeover still hadn't happened.

They will probably refuse to pay us that £4K, claiming they need to pay out pocket money to their young players..
