One said we are shit and we were begging not to play them as we feared we was going to get beat, what a flocking joke

Interesting bunch aren't they?

Massive club. Hugely decorated. 4 times FA Cup winners. Drawing with Bayern Munich in Europe 12 years ago. We're privileged to be playing them and this is our cup final.... Exert almost all their energies all night singing about Doncaster Rovers.

We were scared to play them once they got a proper team together and wanted an easy win against their kids, they'll beat us home and away..... but now, we "only" beat them 2-1.

And my favourite - "your ground's too big for you"... sang by 518 in a 3000 capacity stand, away from their home ground of 28,000 where they average 11,000.

.... and the Black Bank missed a trick

When we were 2-0 up it was begging for them to chant " You should have called it off - you should have called it off " Most tunes work - one to file for the future ?

Ah...but the people who were at Bolton when they did all that aren't at Bolton now, so their fans can't claim that Bolton achieved those any more!!

We missed a chance to put 4-5 past them  and instead  made them look a decent side . We gifted them goal and they had more shots on target . They left having just made us look like amateurs. DM needs to breed some ruthlessness into the team , we are playing sh** at home and it’s not going to be long before we slip down the league if the last two performances are any thing to go by .

You don’t skip down the league taking 4 points from 2 games..

Yes the performances can improve, but they made us look like amateurs.?  Not a chance, methinks you are exaggerating somewhat.!

Not sure what you’ve been watching, we never made them look decent at all, they were shit and one dimensional just lumping it up to their big lad, L2 will suit them just fine, long may the arrogant t**ts stay there

New start this season after dry-gulching our away game, New owners, new team, new optimism. lots of enthusiasm for a new start and hoping to stay up despite a points deduction, and the thoughts that they  were such a massive club of standing, in such a poor league, with clubs that will see a game against them as an honour, that they were capable of overcoming everything and staying up in this division.
Fast forward to the present, all that has gone, money once again is becoming tight for the owners, and renewals of season tickets will tank hopefully, Karma.
Yes you are Bolton Wanderers and you can do what you want, an apt song, enjoy your future,Yeovil will love you and your attitude.

The way they go on how massive they are I was expecting 3500 fans in the away end like Sunderland.

Baffling how we are still living rent free in their heads when it was them who cheated and f**ked us over! I'd be lying if I said our Twitter admin baiting them last night didn't bring a smile to my face.

One of my favourite parts of last night was the whole lot of them chanting "We're Bolton Wanderers, we'll play when we want"....and all of us completely ignoring it. lol

Couldn't hear them all night from South stand. Could see they were making noise but always goes out the stadium if it's not thousands involved.

I could vaguely hear them once or twice but have no idea what was being said.

Fair play guys enjoy your win last night but I think you’ll find our singing last night was more irony than bragging. Let’s face it, we have nothing to brag about, we are going to be a L2 club next year when with any luck you’ll be in the Championship.

I think had we got a result against Coventry, it would have at least doubled our numbers last night but losing in the last minute after nearly winning was the final straw of our salvation. We have some dipsticks who like to make insulting comments but the majority actually agreed it was wrong to cancel our game in Bolton and that you should have had the points.

Anyway, now that you’ve seen how bad we are that should give you confidence for our next encounter. As far as recovering is concerned, it wouldn’t matter how rich our owners are because we can’t pay loan fees or transfers until 2022 so we just need to survive until then, which we will. Once that’s sorted, make no mistake, there is significant money available for us to build a new team to hopefully rise up the league again.

Genuinely I wish you luck, you’re a revitalised club, have a good, sensible board and in my opinion a very good and capable manager. So best of luck for the rest of the season and I hope any future games between us are less acrimonious.

Thanks Frankie. You strike me as a very magnanimous and dignified guy. If all supporters, of any club, were like you, there would be far less acrimony.

I used to play in the Guiseley Cricket Club sports quiz team. There were tow locals a father and son called Brian and Martin. They were great people and avid Bolton fans. This was in the 90s and I often wonder how they got on as Brian would now be in his 80s probably.
All clubs have a percentage of animals among their fan base and the bigger the gate the more idiots there are.
Talk to well behaved like minded opposition fans and ignore the morons.
I'm sure that loads of Bolton fans would rather talk to our more sensible fans that some of their own badly behaved ones.
