It's a very tricky situation they find themselves in. We've given as much advice as we can but I can't see it resolving itself any time soon.

But it's not just them, there's a few others who have various financial difficulties as well.

Didn’t Rovers just have one of these?

Ten a penny these winding up orders.

It’s enough to ..... wind you up.

Ours turned out to be not true so maybe that will apply to the Oldham one.

I feel a bit like you dknward. I know it’s harsh but clubs are businesses at the end of the day

If Oldham were a shop who’d give a monkeys.

It’s about time clubs and their boards stopped trying to chase the gold and ran themselves in a proper manner

It’s harsh on the fans and a lot of the time it’s really bad management at chairman level

We were very lucky when JR came in a genuine fan who cared

Other clubs have not been as lucky

My view is (and I know a lot of you will slate me)

Is until some more clubs go under this matter will not resolve itself. It’s a problem that the EFL should be addressing and they shouldn’t be expected to bale clubs out. Give advice and assistance. This should be happening at every club now. Their finances should be scrutinised by the EFL and where necessary addressed

The EFL have still to publish the independent report into their governance and the Bury situation. However, a journalist who had seen part of it said that around a third of clubs in League One and League Two are up for sale.

That doesn't mean all of them are in financial difficulty of course, but it gives an idea of the scale of the problems.

Southend in trouble again (bbc sport report) over unpaid HMRC tax bill and failure to pay February wages to staff.

Also Macclesfield back in the dock.
For the fourth time this season they have failed to pay players wages on time.

Good old FA. Splendid chaps. Brought in that wonderful 'fit and proper persons test' don't you know after some nasty people tried to collar the cash from Brighton's ground. And some other one as well come to think of it. Splendid chaps. Remind me, what year was it that Charlton had their ground swiped from under them?

Money will, and is already killing football.

We are in a world where many Players are being paid more than brain surgeons and airline pilots.
Footballers have little responsibility or accountability by comparison.

Clubs at fault for chasing the dream and paying overinflated prices for players an£ wages.
Agents at fault for creating hype and ramping up prices.
Supporters at fault for paying high ticket prices.

Top to bottom it’s all wrong.

Andf it's all ultimately the responsibility of the FA and, to a lesser degree, the FL. I cannot think of a more consistently awful bunch of leaders in any sphere of life anywhere.  Even Idi Amin didn't span the 30 odd years these cretins have been ruining the game. Ted Croker and Alan Hardaker must be proper spinning in their graves....

Impossible for them.  You can get to Man City in no time from there via public transport too and probably cheaper tickets.

I do think it vital we bear in mind that our owners put in up to two million a season to keep us on an even keel.
