Ref was f**king hopeless today. Started brandishing the yellow cards early on for the most minor fouls, which set a precedent then for handing out a yellow for almost every foul in the game.

It also seemed like if a player went down or seemed hurt they would get a free kick. Agree with the poster higher up the thread about the free kick leading to the goal. Butler did very little wrong but it the player went down holding his head so it must be a foul.  :silly:
The Butler yellow was a complete joke. You could see on Butts face what he thought.

A Swindon player did the same thing in the 15th minute and it was completely ignored! Inconsistency at its worst.

I have stuck up for refs lately as I know how hard a job it can be,but sum where never yellow card offenses or should I say most but once you dish one out then it usually he has to keep the trend going.it doesn’t have to be a bad or late challenge but sum were nothing challenges

James is a brilliant player and I think we will struggle to keep him next season if we don’t act quickly with his contract!

His assist for the first goal yesterday was brilliant.

However having said that, he picked up a stupid yellow card for booting the ball away which means he is suspended Tuesday! Even more frustrating when you consider that was the last match that we had to get through before the yellow count is reset!  :chair:

We’ve got to be tying James and our others down that are in our starting 11.
We’ve about 1.5 million in the bank now and should be using this to offer contracts.
Other clubs will know they’re in their last 6 months and agents will be making contact

James is becoming our most influential player and has grown into the midfield role. I really think we will miss him on Tuesday and knowing it was the last game before bookings were cancelled off it was frustrating. We really need to get contract extended

Player of the season for me. Been quality whatever position he's played in. And hasn't had a consistent run in any position either really.

100% agree. Got to be tying down the likes of James, Wright and Taylor to extended contracts

James probably the one a 2 year deal should be offered. Wright as good as he is spends at least a quarter of a season injured at best to get more.

It is the players signed by the snake now coming to the end of contracts, like James, Halliday and Gomes.

If we want to keep these, it would be best to secure them early, or the snake will be back in to tempt them away to his hellhole in Hull.

I think Rovers have an option on extending Taylor, Lokilo and Seaman once their deal is up.
That looks to be the way to go in keeping a longer term interest, particularly with the younger players.
