Just seen the penalty incident on the Quest highlights and that’s two massive dives in 7 days for the Imps. Easy to see why they’ve had so many penalties awarded this season. You can only hope that the authorities become wise to it, but it never seems to work like that.

Yes. I saw that CHK. It was blatant. I was expecting the team in the studio to pass comment. Like I said - Lincoln City cheats.

Just seen that dive on the Quest show.
A joke of a decision by the ref.
It should have been a yellow card for the Lincoln player for simulation.
They must do diving practice during the week.

Shocking dive. It must be embedded in their culture because they used to get shed loads of questionable penalties under the Cowleys as well, and most of the squad has changed since then!

I worked in Lincoln for ten years up until the end of 2017. During that time there was very little appetite for the football club amongst the people of the city. That said, the decade I was there coincided with them occupying the bottom half of L2 and subsequently a stay of 5 or 6 years in the Conference.

Having said that, the amount of ‘noise’ I’ve received since their reincarnation under the Cowley’s has been unbelievable. The Cowley way was well know for plenty of gamesmanship etc and it appears it continues under Appleton; I’ve been interested to watch the progress under Appleton as allegedly he has made the Rovers shortlist on the last two occasions.

Last weekend and albeit two minutes of highlights tonight have left a very bitter taste in my mouth when it comes to the Imps. As BobG has posted elsewhere, it goes back as far as John Beck, and maybe even further.

Wasn't it under the Cowley management that they broke the game down into 15min sections. So they would go crazy for 15 mins get an 'injury' to get drinks and instructions then another 15mins and suprise another 'injury'

It was, and it happened like clockwork every single game. I remember them doing it when we beat them at the KM last season just before the Cowley’s left.
