Depends where and how you do your shopping.

Clearly some clubs maximise value for money better than others and probably have to work harder to negotiate deals and loans to fit their pocket.

Sunderland by contrast in 19/20 had matchday income of £5.6m and wage bill of £16.2m. It’s an imbalance yes, but compare that multiple to Bournemouth. It’s 3x compared to 30x.

That for me shows how we are better of with the salary cap being based on turnover to at least give the club a chance to compete. Unless we can get our season tickets up to say 10k on a regular basis we will never be as competitive on a season by season basis. Clearly the budget is still based on circa 3000 season tickets?
Think we had 4500 season ticket holders in 19/20 Last season will have been well down on that due to Covid lock down 5 months before last season started.

Would expect we will sell in excess of 4000 this season.
The Club would be very disappointed with less than that.

Think the club budget for ave gates of 7000/7500.
Anything we get over that is a bonus.

Quite understandable why some fans might be holding back. I and my four other friends decided to go for it and paid up last week. I asked about sales and they said just over 3000.

I suspect there's much more potential out there so 4000 will be a good marker considering where we've been.

Should we get off to a decent start too, then that can only help keep things ticking along. There's plenty of scope to buy ticket packages as well as season memberships.

Posted elsewhere, Rotherham sold 4000 in their first two days of sales and are approaching 6000. Their's are a good bit dearer too

A shame we can't get the same level of interest.

I'm looking at buying but struggling to find them on the website and no one answers the ticket office phone number.

The clubs marketing and promotions are dreadful, doncaster is huge and a proper investment into this field would definitely come up trumps if it was run right, only ten year ago we were getting 12-13k so the potential is there, but just need to show ambition instead of plodding along.

I've followed the links. The only season memberships available to buy are for the Belles or rugby

Our average attendance for the 2011-12 season was just over 9k.... the second lowest and just above Peterborough - although we were in the league above our current standing.

Our biggest attendance that season was 12,962 against Leeds.

The chances of getting 12-13k every week is zero.... :(

I know Rotherham have been in the Championship, but what are they doing differently to sell twice as many season tickets? At higher prices.
