I've had my tussles with BST, but the forum isn't the same without him. He is in fact a very intellectual and astute writer. Yes, he ruffles a few feathers, but don't we all?

We all have different opinions, which leads at times to a bit of banter; that's what forums are for. As long as it doesn't get out of hand.

It's not pointless comments that are the real problem on here, the real problem is posters who make a point of only commenting with negative news and views in order to enhance their political bias.

Making points is the raison d'etre of a forum.

Then there are those posters who aren't interested in making any point at all but are only interested in insulting or provoking other forum users. One of them even openly admitted that was the only reason he posted here.
