Apparently the EFL now insist on a red zone around the away dugout. No fans and no abuse. What a bunch of fairies. Can you imagine the great managers of yesteryears thoughts on this. Why doesn't anyone have a back bone any more? If some one was spouting off at me it would make me try 10% harder to get one over them. Sterile or what?

It's only banter. It's having a laugh. I remember when Steve Bruce was at Villa and was getting some stick at the Den, he just laughed and gave some back.

At football, forever. It’s not often I agree with Axholme Lion but as long as it’s not personal or prejudiced what’s the issue? The game would be far too sanitised if you weren’t allowed to scream at the opposition manager. Anything that crosses the line should be stamped out but the vast majority of fans know where that line is.

Those of us who stood in the section of terracing behind the dug outs at BV have witnessed some great banter and comedy with opposition managers in the past. Much of it provided by the shouty bags and no doubt would be unacceptable now. Happy times.

Sheffield Wednesday away, probably our first season in the Championship, I was a few feet away from one of the Shotybags, and I'll never forget a slight altercation on the pitch, and she screams "He's fisting him, ref! He's fisting him!"

It has to be COVID related or it makes no sense

After all some Clubs have tunnels to allow passage to the Pitch of the Players and Officials. That is not there so the Ref cant hear us hurling banter his way its so we cant hurl physical things at him - and if we did the Tunnel protects him / them

It goes out when a Player gets a Red again not to protect his delicate lugs but his head / body from "missiles" be they spit of coke bottles

So I cant believe that Clubs would then remove Dug outs and offer any loonies free shots with missiles over a much much longer period.

Just repeating what i was told. i didn't carry out an inquest. I 'd be just as likely to give some stick to our own players if they were shit.
