Sorry but that performance was woeful from start to finish. A striker won’t solve that I’m sorry to say.

Good job they went down to 10 and shut up shop otherwise that could have been even more embarrassing

Baldwin didn't sign Barlow and Gardner. Useless

Of course a striker would help. It changes the whole dynamic. We’ve no focal point at all, and you can see there’s no belief that we’ll score without one. We work the ball into good positions but you can tell before the cross that they know there’s nothing to aim at.

think they were signed simply to make numbers up, at least Barlow tries you can't fault that but we need much better

But the final ball is shocking. Floating crosses to keeper or out of play won’t create chances for a striker will it?

Both were picks by RW. Gardner played under him at Oldham.

That’s fine campsall, but apart for a few decent patterns of play in midfield what else was good about it?

No striker on the pitch 1st half so we were as good as down to 10 men from the start.
2nd half Curkur gave his all but is not up to League 1 level as a goal scorer so we were effectively playing 10 v 10 when Rotherham went down to 10

They are a decent well drilled side who have played together as a team for 2/3 seasons and it showed. Having a player like Smith up front made all the difference. Holds the ball brings players into the game and scores goals.

If he had played for us today i firmly believe we would have won the game.

Clueless going forward. Clueless in possession. Horton got done 4 times in the first 8 minutes. Not good enough by any standards. Board has to step in or we are in big trouble. Worst rovers side to watch in the naughties by a mile

It’s not just a striker though is it!!? Defensivey we got bullied but their 2 strikers, our wife players can’t cross a ball for love or money and we have zero creativity in the final 3rd. But hey, that renowned league 1 striker will save us I’m sure. Just hope he can cross to himself as well as fashion his own chances

Having Rovers owned by a criminal and asset stripper only interested in earning money from the land the club is sat on and stooping so low as to organize the burning down of the main stand to earn insurance money. Getting relegated out of the football league with a team made up of semi-professionals, school children and the lottery manager's overweight next door neighbour in goal.

THAT is as bad as it gets. Or even worse what's happened to Bury or Macclesfield.

I'm frustrated and disappointed as the next Rovers fan over our start to the season and today but let's have some perspective please!

Agreed, had they kept their full compliment I believe we would have been on the end of a 4 or 5.  We were playing against 10 men with our 11 men, not 10, 11, & we created virtually nothing.
