Health and Safety gone crazy

When you think you’ve heard it all about H&S this tops it all.
Stevenage FC have banned people taking thermos flasks into Broadhall Way in case concealed items are contained within.
Also see you can’t take an umbrella or suitcase.

Either football has lost the plot or I have lost the plot.

Bring back concrete flooring under the swings in parks, go climb a tree, eat space dust. HAVE FUN

I know. Can’t believe we can no longer shove kids up chimneys or have them collect shuttles from underneath cotton spinning looms. Madness!

Ridiculous. Anyway, clubs can't even keep out pyro so a flask of coffee would be a piece of piss, and less dangerous perhaps.

Rovers let me take an umbrella in, but at Hillsboough I had to leave it at a collection point till after the game.

I hate that health and safety gets blamed for so much - it’s an easy hit.
Had to laugh the last time I went to a concert in Birmingham, bought a bottle of water and they took the lid off citing h&s in case someone threw a bottle at the band, I’d have needed a tank to reach the stage from where we were. Right next to the kiosk was a vending machine selling bottles with lids ????

I heard Scawsby Steve had his flares confiscated last season at an away game. Seeing him standing there with no pants on wasn't a sight anybody should witness.

This has happened a few times to me at footy. Once i was at Bootham Crescent for a York game when i lived up in North Yorkshire and just on the way out of the actual ground near the entrance to BC where the club shop was, they had a refreshments kiosk. I bought a bottle of coke for the car journey home on my way out and they wouldn't let me take it with the bottle top on! I said to them that the exit onto the street was literally 10 yards away and i wanted it to take back the car as it would save me stopping at a shop on the way back and they still refused!!

Anyway, daft thing is they can keep the bottle top but then i can throw the bottle a lot further as a missile than i could a bottle top. No that i would of course but the stupifying lunacy of it all beggars belief.

a few years ago, we were in Charles de gaule Airport coming back from euro Disney. my son was carrying a plastic light sabre purchased in the very cost effective on site gift store lol. The checkout girl said it wasn't allowed in the cabin as it was classed as a weapon!!!!, wtf, I thought about using the "these are not the droids" line etc, but she didn't seem as if she was in the mood. After protesting the stupidity of it all, an armed gendarme marched over ready for trouble. absolutely pathetic.

They are not worried about you throwing a bottle top but a full bottle with a lid on could do serious damage if thrown at someone.

So could a full bottle without a lid on.

It’s strange how no matter how many times I’ve asked nobody has shown me the risk assessment for these
