So who do you want.
No good saying none of the above and not coming up with a name or names.

So easy when your not having to make the decision. We need to get it right. GM has steadied the ship so why rush and get it wrong.
By heck if the board do get it wrong what will be said on here and other social media.

And Anthony Barry has an absolutely stellar reputation. Stellar. If we got him we should all be on Cloud 9.

Very surprised about Flynn. Less surprised about Cook as I doubt he applied.

So according to Liam Hoden, we're down to a shortlist of 5, one of whom is Gary McSheffrey.

The remaining 4 have all managed in the Championship. 2 of them have managed in the Premier League.

Well, I'll have a go a reading between the lines. Fair chance the next managers name will begin with Mc...

Strong links to coaching, managed in the Premiership? McLaren. Other contenders could be McCarthy or Adkins.

Of course, McSheffrey has another chance to impress on Saturday so he could have the advantage

Just got a feeling McSheffrey is the strongest contender for head coach with A N Other, as DoF.

Your list is down to two if you remove the three that LH has discarded........ perhaps need to redo and include a 'none of the above' option...

I'm sure the bookies will feast on this latest news but probably with no more in the know info than we have.

Anyway, let's hope all the candidates present a strong case for themselves and the club and don't think they can just walk into the job.

Whomever gets the job, the board have got to be seen to act decisively in the January window by getting those key signings we need. I don't think the fans will be too keen to hear any sob stories about the ones that got away.

Right that has surprised me. No Flynn and Coughlin. Cook less of a surprise.

So 5 may be GM, Adkins, Barry, Neil would be good if he is one, did not expect him to apply and he may not have of course.
So other one John Terry? Sol Campbell? Or John Eustace?
Think Eustace is the most probable as he was down to the final 3 last time.

I hope Craig Elliot, currently at Boston has applied.
A manager on the up.
Has historical club connection too.

It was total guess work on my part and am not surprised I got 3 wrong, possibly 4 and maybe all 5 as
GM has not been confirmed as one of the 5 has he.

So new poll

GM, Adkins, Maclaren, Eustace, and AN Other.

Far too high risk imo
No league managerial experience.

No we know there’s no Coughlin, Flynn or Cook, that leaves GM & Adkins for interview - got a feeling one of the others will be Chris Hughton & would be happy with him

McLaren, Coughlin, Atkins, or Houghton. Hopefully they can bring back Ostler, Sharpe and Danny Andrews, and get the best out of Hiwulu.

What was that about pib?

This thread has now moved to the new one with a new poll.

If we can NOT post on here then it simplifies it. Thanks everyone.  :)

Liams article says GMC and four others. Two of which have Premier league experience others good  EFL experience all have not been managers.

Steve please use the new thread “ Next DRFC Manager “ as requested in above post.
Otherwise we are back and forth from one to another.
Thanks.
