Our attackers have scored just 4 league goals in the first 24 games. And no attacker has scored more than one goal:

Dodoo: 1
Hiwulu: 1
Vilca: 1
Cukur: 1

Surely this has to be some sort of record?

Whilst we've shipped plenty of goals, our latest CB pairing didn't look too bad yesterday.

But we desperately need some effective attackers this transfer window.

As bad as those figures are (and they are really bad) we are sending back players that make up 50pc of all those goals.

The darkest hour is before the dawn and all that.

The lack of a forward line has been our biggest failing this season for sure. Abysmal doesn't even come close to describing it.

However, I do sense that GM has more natural attacking instincts than the last 2 or 3 managers and I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll start to see some positive change over the coming weeks and months.

It'll be too late for this season but if GM can shape a potent attacking force to carry us into next season then I'd settle for that.

Marquis 3 year deal this week build a team around him to get us up next year , Pompey paying him 4K a week till summer just to get him off the books , now this would be a statement and get fans back on side , make it happen rovers

Returning players seldom have the same impact...... that said, I wouldn't say no to a loan deal until the end of the season with a 1st refusal if he hits the road running..

First refusal would be nothing to do with Portsmouth, they’ll release him in the summer. It’ll be down to JM what he does then.
