Sod Losing, Lets Celebrate!
« on January 10, 2022, 08:21:40 pm by LincolnDonny »
My wife and I was watching some you-tube clips,  and came across Norwich City Supporters all shouting:

"Lets Pretend We Scored a Goal "

Well I for one am sick of the lousy atmosphere at the "Eco what's it stadium"

So I suggest we go one better than those carrot crunchers

And All on the 90th minute shout out

"Lets Pretend We Won a Match!"

Then all do a count down from 10 down to 1 and ALL of us ERUPT as though we HAD won.

If nothing else its better than what most of us have screamed at our own players and may at least raise a laugh.

It may even take up some of the time if shown on Quest than our "lovey lads doing what they have been doing"

(It would be nice if we dont have to pretend I suppose, but hey i am a realist.

What do others think?

Haha,Thats what Southend fans did at the keepmoat in the play-offs once they knew it was all over bar the whistle, cheering phantom goals and celebrating like they won the match, led to alot of our fans praising them and their attitude.

It’s happened at Rovers games before.
One in particular was Grimsby away, last game of the season 1990/91 I think.
We were a couple down early on and nothing going right. It got worse and we lost 4-1 I think.
The Rovers fans decided to make the best of it and carried on singing and cheering. The players looked a bit puzzled at the end and I remember John Muir giving his tie ups to one of the fans.
They kept on singing for the players to come back out for ages after the final whistle.
I do think that while you have a chance there’s hope and tension there. Once the hope is gone you can say let’s just make the best of a poor day. Crewe away in the League Cup when we lost 5-2 was a bit similar.

What about several rapturous and rousing choruses of....

'We're on our way, we're on our way,
We're going to League 2,
We're on our way,
How we'll get there, we all know,
How we'll get there, we're f**kin pissed off about it,
All I know is we're on our way'
