Glad this wasn't a thread about more injuries!

The merry go round has begun. Paper talk this morning suggesting Warnock is coming out of retirement in a 'shock' move to club whilst rumours say Alex Neil is about to leave Sunderland to go to Stoke.

Scunny is a club in very deep trouble. It’s not all down to Hill but his record is diabolical. They’ve lost their last 5 in a row this season and won only 2 games in 2022.

Scunny in relegation spots in Conference, really rough time for them at the moment. Lost five in a row. I remember some great derbys v Scunny in the early Keepmoat years.

Alex Neil went the other day, mate. Sunderland have Mowbray now.

I'm genuinely surprised that Hill wasn't able to make a go of it at Scunny. He's done well at lower levels with a couple of clubs and comes across as a real old school manager. Perhaps that is the issue? Modern players at all levels don't seem to like abrasive, no nonsense types of managers and prefer the nurturing, supportive, understanding type.

I've no idea what type Hill is but he does come across as old school as i've said.

I did think Hill would steady the sinking ship at Scunny and get them on an even keel but looks like the rot runs throughout that football club from top to bottom and he had an already thankless task.

As for Scott Parker, i dislike him a little and i don't know why. Something about him i can't put my finger on but just find him a bit drab.

One of my son-in-laws is a Huddersfield Town fan and a couple of Saturdays ago a helicopter landed in a field behind his dad's house on Almondbury on the outskirts of Huddersfield.
His dad went for a nosey to see what was going on and Warnock got out, presumably for a look at Town's home game.
So maybe he is ready for another rescue mission.

I'm not big on Keith Hill but I don't think any manager can turn Scunthorpe around. Club has been in a sorry state for a while and I'm genuinely not sure we'll see them in the league again. Not so long since they punched well above their weight in the Chamlionship but for a few years now it has been a downward spiral on and off the field that shows no sign of abating.

Pleased we have our owners and seem to have shrugged off the melancholy around our club

Yep RD, although some of our own supporters will be a little disappointed as they looked at our starting fixtures and had about this date pencilled in for the head of GM on a platter.
Now we want to hope no bigger clubs wanting a complete turn around of their club are watching our management set up.
