He’ll be back teaching in a couple of years and being a manager in National League South, his luck has run out

Like all fallen giants - Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday currently and Leeds, Forest, Sheffield United and Sunderland - loads of them in the past, they suffer at home from heightened expectations from their fans - only 3 wins at home this season.

Perhaps this psychological barrier is almost more important to overcome than actual footballing ability. Do managers with a good degree in this science exist? There is probably a sizeable demand out there.

It’s a two headed manager neither seems capable of making a decision on their own .
