Memorial Garden
« on December 31, 2022, 11:20:07 pm by roverstillidie91 »
I was just wanting some advice over for which I believe there is a memorial garden at the Keepmoat Stadium.

It is for some of my grandads ashes and I was just wondering what the costs approximately would be not that it is a problem but just to see the costings but also what you can have put in place there and like the space purchased to put wreathes in place at Christmas etc. I was looking at a memorial for a small tree but I think they usually just have a plaque or something so I wasn't sure if someone had one in place from here..

Apologies for it being wordy. Thanks

I believe it’s full to capacity at the moment, I wanted to do the same thing for my dad when he passed away. I wanted to have a plaque and spread some of his ashes there. They did tell me that they was looking to expand the memorial garden in some way but there was no timescale for this, and that they would keep me informed.

We have my dads ashes buried in the garden we had a memorial service from Barry miller the club chaplain. I think it was £100 for the plot and the he plaque I just wish it was looked after a bit better usually the grass is always long and rubbish about and not usually a bin to put flowers or anything in.it sometimes is upsetting as it’s your family members resting place

My mums ashes are in the memorial garden along with a plaque. It cost £100 for the plaque and Barry did a lovely service for us at no cost. I agree though, it could be better looked after and would benefit from a little TLC - we try to do our bit by regularly changing flowers & tidying up the discarded rubbish when we visit.
