The Brucie Bonus Lottery
« on October 11, 2022, 03:16:05 pm by Colemans Left Hook »
where will Steve Bruce end up next ??

Some people might say it's easier to say who he hasn't managed.  He must have a very tolerant wife - good job she doesn't buy wallpaper with gold strands in it.

Teams managed
1998–1999   Sheffield United
1999–2000   Huddersfield Town
2001   Wigan Athletic
2001   Crystal Palace
2001–2007   Birmingham City
2007–2009   Wigan Athletic
2009–2011   Sunderland
2012–2016   Hull City
2016–2018   Aston Villa
2019   Sheffield Wednesday
2019–2021   Newcastle United
2022   West Bromwich Albion

Will he sit and wait for the Wednesday job
Would Hull take him back

Crystal Palace is the furthest South he has been

How about the Portsmouth job later in the season ??
Bolton must be getting a bit uneasy about there lack of goals and losing to rabble teams

Cheltenham 1 Bolton 0
Forest Green 1 Bolton 0

thinking about it lose to Dingles on Saturday and their manager could be out

Modern day mercenary, as his career has progressed his stints have become shorter and with less competence, any club that buys into his BS soon come to regret it whist Bruce walks away with another payday.

Wouldn't be so bad if he was actually any good.

Set to become the Peter Reid of this century, supposedly applying for and connected with every job that's going.

When will these clubs finally wake up to the nonsense that is Steve Bruce.

it took  me a long while before  i  found  my the bit  about the "Portsmouth job vacancy" occuring later in the season.

it seems Portsmouth might well finally  sack Cowley   his results have been disasterous for a long while  with a triple " capital D"  as in DDDisasterous

The original Cowley used to be the head of "The Professionals" this pair certainly aren't
more like "professionnal losers"

Ironically the stand in for Jeff today on sky called  Steve Bruce the West Brom Manager   !!!!!! - it seems his replacement Carlos Corberán  has won all of his five matches since replacing Bruce

"   Five wins on the bounce is some achievement for a team that was deep into a culture of losing.
That it should come when the new manager is still adjusting to the job, and the players to him, is a testament to Corberán's impact. Well done to him and his staff #wba   "

TBF - they are 5 points out of the playoff spots and have 2 or 3 games in hand on those above.......... that Rovers type form isn't it....

The  Official Result  of the  "Sack of Peas"  Stakes (Division one) has just been announced and they have weighed in.

1st  Portsmouth 2nd Peterborough ( the winning distance was 2 days)  the other contenders Plymouth & Port Vale both finished unplaced.

I started the Brucie thread on October 11th and added the bit about The Cowleys being on their way later in the season

as you can see they had 22 points fom 11 games (averaging 2 points per game) with games in hand

From October 11th onwards they won just one league game  which was a magnificent achievement

they now have 31 points from 22 matches  meaning out of the next 11 they got 9 points

won 1  (beating mighty Forest Green) drew 6 lost 4
