Just finished watching the ‘drama’ series with the excellent Matthew Macfadyen playing his role in the piece. It was so ‘comical’ in parts (no doubt purposely for ‘entertainment value’) that you thought ‘No, surely not’ but episode 4 showed ‘the real’ John Stonehouse & you know the drama wasn’t very far off the mark.

It left you wondering how such a half wit who’s only aim was self promotion could have made such inroads into high office (Postmaster General) until you look at ‘the players’ in this current Tory government (Boris Johnson & Liz Truss….Prime Ministers!) & it leaves you thinking ‘some things never change’, & it’s truly frightening.
