There was a post in the last few days concerning Frank Lampard.  Basically it suggested  great players don't always make great coaches.

The suggestion, and with which I agree, was that a player should 'do his time' with a lower league club, and then if proven move on.

I seem to remember Brian Clough started lower down the league.

Could I suggest that this is what Ferguson is doing
