I think the point is it's a bit rich coming out with 'we're one of the best squads in the league' and this fluffy rubbish when we're a complete and utter shambles on the pitch and fans are disappearing at an alarming rate.

For me the OP has a valid point here - semantics aside it's a bit of joke preaching about one of the best squads in the league for community stuff, when we have a desperately poor squad on the pitch, where it actually matters. I think this points to the current tone-deafness of the club coming out with rubbish like this when there's such a massive crisis across the fan-base.

No, of course not - we should all be proud that Rovers is a community club and we do loads of fabulous things. The thread isn't saying what a waste of time the community stuff is, it's saying it's a strange time to be trumpeting it - particularly using the phrase 'one of the best squads in the league' given the pain we're all going through with the tripe being served up. We should still be out in the community, more than ever in fact, to build some of the bridges between club and fans, just maybe think a bit harder about the timing and content of how that's shared.

I also think that it one of the forum voices of reason - Camps for example - had started this thread we may have all been more in agreement, but maybe I'm being unfair with that.

I like many praise the ground Copps played on . But to his comments are just not indicative of the way HIS best in league are performing on the pitch and hold his hand up and admit he got the rest of the  task wrong !!

This thread is quite scary. A perfect example of how someone can read words in black and white that a making a clear and unambiguous point (whether you like it or not) and totally misunderstand it.
