Thought he was going to bust a blood vessel, I’ve probably never seen anyone as irate at his own team

I thought I was gobby but that's a whole new level.

Bless him. Clearly passionate about our football club.

Are you sure that wasn’t me. Well I am 67 with a full head of grey hair, so probably not.

I have never in my life shouted for the manager to go but at least 3 times I did today as loud as I could as I poosibly could be.

I was obviously the Grandfather version of that young man.  I can’t believe it got as bad as this.

Is Copps going to do something about it though. It’s gone 6-30 & no sign yet he has been dismissed.
What are you waiting for?

DS won’t be sacked anytime soon . To do so would be a very public admission that the club got this appointment wrong . Again .

At least he wasn’t fighting anyone.
It looked like it was fans vs fans fighting in the south stand.

Never nice to have this. A sign of just how bad things are perhaps.

James Maxwell on commentary today, said the players wouldn't be accepting new contracts if they had not bought into DS views. To me it speaks he's going nowhere.

The lad is autistic sits just behind me. Feel sorry for his Grandad who brings him and gets as much abuse as the team. Never heard a swear word from him though, but today was difficult as we had it from 2mins onwards a couple of men decided to move seats, it got very loud

If the team showed 10% of that lads passion, we'd be in a far better position then we are now

Could do with being recruited by the Black Bank to lead the singing! Channel his passion.

I wonder if he could play drums too?

Finding it easy to be distracted from the game today, I looked around at the people sitting nearby and saw the hurt in their eyes. I'm talking about loyal fans who follow Rovers all over the country, a couple of them actually travel all the way from Harrogate for the "home" games. Another one travels from Gloucester! They have been doing that for years, and they are very near breaking point.

I posted this in 307 Thread straight after Crawley on Tuesday.I think it goes nicely with BBs post above

The players in "the old days" used to be sent down a local coal mine to see what their Supporters did , day in day out to earn money to go watch them and when the Team was putting in poor performances to watch what it might be like if they were NOT pro football players

In those days most of them did have second jobs as pro pay was relatively poor

That's what I think is one of the most galling parts of watching these unacceptable performances.

The fans literally jump through hoops to watch "their" Team , paying out hard earned cash , giving up days holidays at work, travelling hours each way as last night which even in a posh modern Coach is a hard ask.

Not for them a stay the night before or the night after. No - I can testify yesterday was a slog. OK I'm older - it will be harder for me BUT , there were many on our Coach committed to working today. So a devoted ,8 hour return trip - getting back to ECO at 02.00

I went to bed at 3 and got up at 8 (cream crackered) but some of them will have been at work hours already as I write this

And what do these Fans get in return ? At the moment barely anything. Some players with limited ability , some who don't look like they care

This is the equivalent of going down the Pit for the olden day players. I don't mean put them on a Coach to Crawley ... But I do ask them to think " do the fans of this Club not deserve better than we collectively are giving them".

They KNOW the answer already

Well, yesterday was the first time in a long while I felt I couldn’t face the drive up from south of Cambridge. I’ve been in exile in various places for forty years now and I’ve got plenty of experience of driving home after deserved and undeserved defeats but it’s usually tempered by the fact I’ve generally seen some sort of basic competency and effort. Lately though the total absence of any sort of determination and basic footballing nous has made me think there are - for the time being - better ways to spend the best part of £100 on petrol, food and admission and time.

Complete respect for you Bollinger and I agree with you

It's just the way or manner of defeat , as my post above it tried to say

Some players with limited ability , some who don't seem to care and Fans who let's face it ARE the Club having to endure a very poor period in the history of THEIR Club

There have been challenging times previously of course but this is now .

I was thinking along similar lines it’s recent games. I couldn’t help but think about what Billy Bremner said about Alan Warboys and how after a game he’d often collapse on the floor of the changing room and lie with his face against the crack in the door to try and get air into his lungs having run himself to a standstill. I know he was a unique kind of individual but I don’t see even a hint of that kind of desire, scrap, work-ethic, ambition and professionalism in the bulk of this squad.

Football is a whole different ball game now. Data driven analytics is suppressing players going out to express themselves. Flair and skill is hard to find across all divisions. Most players fit the identikit 6' 2" strapping lads no matter what position they play.

Where's the entertainers? Players like Copps and Tomlin are a dying breed. Would Gascoigne and many other top magicians of yesteryear be allowed to flourish?

Joking yesterday, when I bumped into Shaun Lockwood and his 'Junior Takeover' companion  I said when you go into the changing rooms, tell the players to take those data tags off and go and play for fun!
