meaning second choice for the job

I plead Clough not that I want him  - as I have told you all a hundred times Mansfield with a squad of 16-17 will never get promotion and he can't take them any further - but has he got any ambition ?

2nd choice will be Darrell Clarke IMO.

weird that he signed an extra year plus a possible 1 year extension 5 hours ago !!!  - the time of the seson to sign extensions you might say ??
