Think it is time the club dismiss all the rumours that we have of signing billy sharp if we are not planning on bringing him back.

They know what is being said and the rumours that are circulating. We have signed a really good player in senior and 50% of the reaction on the twitter feed is about how it's not billy sharp with some even putting 'not intrested' in their reply

Not really fair on the new kid when he reads that and it looks like the fans are disappointed with it.

It's time the rumours were ended because it will be the same for every signing from now on until billy finally moves to his next location

Why should they? They didn't start the speculation.

JR must have been asked 100 times whether BS is returning and up to now he's avoided answering the question. It keeps folk talking and interested. If they can't show appreciation for any new player that's their problem not the clubs.

Try stopping folk speculating and having that ounce of hope that he might, even though most will admit, it's not realistic.

Dont think the club need to say anything. Anyone posting not interested cos its not Billy are idiots. This is the rumour season. Just let it run its course. If anyone starts crying cos Billy doesn’t sign for us then they have only themselves to blame by getting sucked in. Id love him to sign but if its a.n other then so be it. RTID

I’m sure GM will get interviewed by RS or DFP soon and be ask about it. Would be bizarre for a club to announce they aren’t signing someone formally on their official channels

I agree with this. Sharp was a fantastic player for us and has had a brilliant career. However, I'm not comfortable with making such an expensive signing which, realistically, would only be good in the short term. There's longer term prospects out there.

No problem with all the rumours and gossip,it keeps fans occupied while the club go about getting their targets without us and everyone else having a clue,which the club are currently pretty good at,although Wood signing was an exception.

Billy’s real desire will no doubt be to return to United one day as a coach so whatever he does in the near future will habe  to leave room for him to pursue his badges I imagine.
