Got quite emotional watching that.
Good old Belle Vue indeed. A place with so many memories.
But it was looking like a pre historic stadium and we had to have the Keepmoat to allow the club to progress.

Spotted myself and my old fella walking into the main stand and managed to get a good screenshot of us both so that's nice for the archives!

My Belle Vue Rovers mug from 2007 with that great photo on becomes slightly more faded every time it comes out of the dishwasher. Sad to see. But I can’t retire it.

It’s on the part 2, just watched it myself.

That was a lovely blast from the past - thank you for sharing.

Not sure about the music though - I keep expecting a german bloke to burst in and offer to fix the plumbing!!!

Did anyone else play in the Charity game on Belle Vue. I recall it being one of the last game played on the pitch and ended up with the fans having about 20 players on the pitch.

Good to see, but so much changed from the Belle Vue I knew as a kid. No brick dugouts, for one thing. In a way, I feel more nostalgic for that era.

First game I saw at Belle Vue was in 1964. The excitement and the atmosphere of going there as a kid will stay with me forever. Especially under the floodlights. Magical.

Great memories. The crackly PA belting out Slade at high volume but with very poor sound quality is particularly triggering and nostalgic to me for some reason. I can almost smell the cigarettes and fried onions.

Funny you mention the brick dug outs. The aluminum framed ones were looking particularly grubby and as decrepit as the rest (you couldn't see through them for long) but were a fairly recent addition as far as I remember!

Looking at video footage they appeared around 2000, so presumably for the 2000/01 season.

Car park looked wierd  without craters in it to , like the surface of the moon with a risk of drowning on a wet day.
