Positives all round tonight. Very pleased. We're beginning to get interested in the old paint pot cup.

Flint looks good to me. Seems to do the right thing all the time. The new signing Sterry looks good too.

According to stats they had no shots on target

Im sure they had one in the last minute.

Really disappointed with Roberts after the Wednesday game pre season, thought he looked really good, but has done nothing since when he has played. Needs to go back to Wolves.

Good workout tonight, and was great to see Sterry come on and play well. Cracking goal from Luke as well.

Lawler made a good save right at the end, Good to see Sterry back. Thunderbolt goal from LM more please, Hurst tap in at the far post after Biggins lets the ball run through. Ironside claims headed goal at the end , looked like it came off the defender last.

Tight first half followed by a much better and fluent second half. We got plenty of time to play the ball and pass it around(both sides did) and they allowed us to play, we looked very comfortable, the goals just underlined it.

Flint didn't do anything wrong and looked at home, good run out, we need to kick on now and see how far we can get.

I was pleased with flints performance, very composed, Goodman looked lost, no runs, no service, too static sadly.. a striker in Jan is a must..  if one of joe or mo get crocked we are screwed..

You want the lads on the fringe of the team, to give the manager something to think about selection wise. A few have done that tonight. Competition for places could drive the side up the league table as we get players fit again.

I shot on target in 92nd min which Lawlor saved.
Forest were desperately poor.
We did not need to get out of 2nd gear to win that tonight.
If Ironside and Faal had started we probably win that 7-0.

How did Biggins get m.o.m as imo he was our worst player by far. I think when he is on song then is a dangerous player who has a goal in him. Tonight he was playing quite deep alongside Broadbent and that role does not suit his skill set.
To get m.o.m I assume his Mum & Dad were the ones doing the voting. That was a joke surely.
Bailey again for me. Just does his job. No fuss no frills just keeps it simple. Win the ball and pass it to one of his own team.
Joe Olowu thinks he is Bobby Moore . Trouble is he isn’t. How many times did he either give the ball to Forest or get caught in possession messing around at the back instead of playing it down the line.

Got the job done but we didn’t half make it difficult to beat a very poor team.

Biggins - I've hitherto been a fan of the lad, lot's of things to like about his game, work rate and attitude in general - BUT that simulation was simply pathetic.
If I was Grant he'd be fined heavily, made to train with the under 18's for a fortnight and after that, fight his way back up to contention.

No place for cheats in my view.

It’s a dark art. Got no problem cheating if it wins us the game. Monopoly, scrabble, the wife.. If you can get away with it do it. If you’re going to be a cat be a big f**k off lion

Did anyone notice the Costa Rican International on the pitch reminds me when Wolves sneaked a £35 million flop on the pitch at The Keepmoat

The French lad that went off with his hamstring looked handy

He did, not sure why he got so much stick off the fans, also why did he run into the stand took him ages to get back to the bench.
Agree with other posters Roberts had a golden opportunity last night against other youngsters and showed nothing. I had high hopes for Goodman but not too sure at the minute

Not quite the same given Silva cost Wolves about 45 times what Aguilera cost Forest…

I thought we were poor last night especially in midfield. We got better in the 2nd half once the big guns came on.
Back three did well and Molyneux.
But Broadbent, Biggins and Rowe were 2nd best and almost invisible.
Hurst hardly touched the ball.
Roberts adds nothing
Goodman needs to be played alongside Ironside instead of having to do it all himself.

I had heard so much good stuff about Goodman but when I have seen him play he hasn’t done anything at all that has impressed me.
I hope he can get another chance and improve what he has to offer.

Goodman was isolated last night.
We played 2 wide players and Goodman was on his own up front.
He needs to play along side someone to be effective.

Adamson   needs a game at that level up front, he has pace, is good in the air, and runs past defenders, and has a goal in him, unfortunately he has had a long time injured with ligament trouble but is coming back to fitness, and has made an immediate difference to the u18s fire power, and in my mind has a better chance of stepping up to men's football, when he is on it he is definitely a hand full for anyone. Definitely one who if we offer him nothing is likely to come back with another club and bite our backside, when playing the few games this season he has dominated a couple and taken the opposition apart.
Flint and Brown are the others who show a lot of promise, when these three play the u18s are a different proposition and a much better side.
In Goodman's defence he had little to feed off last night first half, and Forest were probably their strongest in their back line who put themselves about physically and were quick, and I thought when he was subbed the game was opening up and he was more involved and playing better when taken off.

No Roberts played up front as a two he wasn’t very good and Rowe behind them with Hurst and Molyneux as wingbacks. What game were you watching

I thought some of Goodman’s hold up play was ok but it is a big drop off from Mo and Joe to him.

Tyler Roberts needs sending back to Wolves. Looked promising at first but now reminds of that headless chicken Todd Miller we had last year.

Note that when Rowe went off he gave the armband to Owen Bailey - 24 years old!

1st 10/15 mins then he went out wide.  He was really poor.
Hurst did ok. Don’t quite see what some others have said that he was anonymous.
He did give 100% tracked back when required and ran at people. Not always successfully agreed.

All 3 you have mentioned there aren't good enough and we'd get tanked week in week out with that 3 in midfield. Not one of them could control a game.

Bailey Close Westbrook are our best 3 however the latter is injured now anyone know how long for?

For me last night showed where are back up weaknesses are. Without a fit Miller we will need another striker in January. We still need a better midfield holding player. Leave Bailey playing in a defensive 3 at the back. They are the two priorities for me. Next after them is a better goal keeper and possibly another centre half but that might be over the top.

Even first half imo with the bit of quality from Molyneux splitting the sides. Controlled the 2nd half and took the game away from with the subs and they started to tire.

Their number 48 (Konate) looked a threat but looks like he’s got a bad attitude, 56 also decent at the back (Zach Abbott).

Bailey MOTM for me, Broadbent, Molyneux and Olowu not too far behind. Flint got better as the game went on and looked more than comfortable. Don’t know how Biggins got MOTM, had a decent start to the game but after the booking he was poor apart from the dummy for Hursts goal.

Roberts disappointed me in what was probs his last chance to impress and keep his loan spell going beyond January, Goodman had a near impossible task of trying to do 2 jobs at once and we couldn’t make the ball stick up front until Ironside and Faal came on. Would like to see Goodman up top with Ironside in the future.

Good to see Sterry back and he looked good when he came on, brings good competition for that RWB spot.
