It could well be Bolton all over again. Big and brutal side just crushing us slowly. 4-0 feels about par I think.

Very good start so far. We've had by far the better of the chances.

Rovers the best team by a country mile and playing some impressive stuff .

Deservedly ahead , probably should be leading by more .

Everton certainly couldn't have any complaints if they were three down .

Very impressed with Rovers tonight .

Oblowu looks like a different player in a 3 without wood

Think we dropped off around the hour mark, then downhill from there. No way could we keep up that intensity. We can’t do it in League Two let alone against a Premier League side. This was a very good performance largely but a predictable result.

Gueye coming on at half time was the difference, a very underrated player

Not sure he’s underrated, he was playing for psg last season with messi, mbappe and Neymar

How anyone can comment with any tinge of negativity after that performance is beyond me

If he was appreciated for what he does
he wouldn't have gone back to Everton

He's not being negative he's making an observation,  and he's exactly right. They were non league for 65 mins then their premier league began to every so slightly show and they began to make those triangles and through balls. That's nothing negative against us. Just the way it is

It was indeed exactly what happened. We were very good until around the hour mark, and then our intensity dropped and their substitutes allowed them to seize the momentum.

They were non league because we made them look that way because of how well we played

Idrissa Gueye didn’t play last season for PSG.

You just needed another goal when you were leading and I think you would have beaten Everton last night .

Easy for many of the neutrals to say Everton were awful but Rovers made them look awful for two thirds of the game .

Plenty for Rovers to take from the game and build on .

Got away with it did Everton and probably they shouldn't have done .

Well . As per the mk game . Lots and lots to be positive about . That was not two team three leagues apart . For 80 minutes I thought rovers more than matches Everton .

Look at it again he was part of a 4, sometimes a 3 and sometimes a 2. The defence changed all through the game

A reminder for everyone that the vast majority of this team played an exceptionally close game vs Everton this year. They do have the ability and IF they want it they do have the fight.

We can come back IF we are more forceful off the ball and confident on it...it's like the injuries have become the excuse and not the reason for poor performances.

Those of us that went saw a very strong and uplifting performance at Peterborough also.

My sentiments also - BUT the recent deluge of goals conceded that are in the main predictable and avoidable and have all featured Anderson and Olowu cannot be overlooked any longer.

Westbrooke and Broadbent are massive losses - Biggins and Tommy just not up to it.
