Consistency
« on January 31, 2024, 11:02:18 am by Jersey Rover »
Is it better to be an average player week in week out or an above average player every now and then. We have quite a few that fit the latter which causes the inconsistency of the whole team. You never know who’s turning up. I put Hurst,  Olowu,Taylor, Jones, Close, Rowe, Anderson, Biggins, Broadbent, and Molyneux in that bracket. I guess that’s why there league 2 players but the majority looking at that list is in and around the midfield. Teams constantly overrun us in midfield with no stand out performers, just decent average footballers whose names or performances never individually stand out, just good solid units. Definite area needing improvement.

I'd argue we have been consistently crap which is why we're third bottom of the football league. Average is something this lot can only aspire to!

83 losses in 3 calendar years! We are consistantly sh*t. This runs deeper than any manager we’ve had.

You included Jon Taylor in a list of average players?  He hasn't spent nearly enough time on the pitch this season to count any meaningful statistical average.  What you can say is that when he has been on the pitch he's bust a gut to compete.  More than can be said for far too many of the squad he's part of.
