I’m at the point where the only football I watch is Rovers (and maybe England), I even tell people I’m not a football fan I’m a Rovers fan
Should throw Rosso into that too if Rovers aren’t playing

Only select games with a free to air provider though. Its going to end up getting more and more like the league cup, where fans and teams see it as a midweek distraction until semis and final.

Watching Rosso get promoted more enjoyable than FA Cup  ;)

On the flip side, it's only relatively recently that live FA Cup games have been shown at all. It's not so long ago that the only live cup game was the final itself. That's what made it special. We're now swamped with live football throughout the season, so the cup final has lost it's allure. Showing cup games isn't the reason the FA Cup isn't held in the same regard as previous years. The problem is that the Premier League and the big clubs in it see it as an inconvenience until they get to the Semi Finals. And that all started with Man United.

Sadly I fear the opposite when inevitably the 3pm blackout will either end, or the big clubs will launch their own stream for 3pms. The arm chair fans will stay home and watch MU etc at 3pm rather than go their local club. Even more so for non league. Donny are away and the choice of going Armthrope, Rosso or watching prem at 3pm. Prem wins unfortunately

A load of smoke about nothing really. 2 games per round will be available on free to air tv including both semi finals and obviously the final. The deal is about more exposure of the other games boosting revenue for the clubs lower down the pyramid.

People seem to like to whinge about a headline without actually reading into  the details of it. Let’s not forget that TNT/BT previously had the rights so this is nothing new.

It’s no longer channels 1-5 anymore the majority of us will be paying for multiple subscriptions be that sky/tnt/prime/netflix/apple etc and as long as we are they will continue to bid for the events that generate the most eyes. We can all either moan about it or just get iptv
