Slovak PM shot. Interesting development, distraction, terrorism, secret service-ism.

I would rather Ukraine determine its place in the world than be dictated to by Russia. If life under the USSR was so good they would still hold sway over Bulgaria, Romania etc.Good point, apparently 85% of the Population in the Occupied areas traditionally voted for Russian Candidates!

Hitler called the Coffee Aunties, elderly women meeting up circa 3pm to gossip Drink Coffee and Eat cake, a tradition in Germany! They would have gone down well with some of the Coffee Aunties that frequent this forum!
Interesting, and somewhat worrying escalation from the Ukraine conflict. A Russian naval force due to arrive in Cuba on Weds, carrying nuclear and other weapons. Has been suggested that there will be a delivery of long range weapons to Cuba, but either way, there will at least be a tempory presence of them there. Reportedly a response to the recent NATO activity in the Baltic, which it has been said included a simulation of a nuke attack on Kaliningrad. Who knows for sure the background, but deffo a significant escalation, at least in posturing, from both Russia and NATO.
