Last night's proud and passionate support
« on February 17, 2010, 09:50:09 am by WSBBA_Ben »
I personally thought the travelling 2000 fans were great last night and a credit to the club. I was one of the many who gravitated to the empty seats at the top to stand up and have a sing song and on the whole, the songs were supported well by the vast majority of our fans. I’m a West Stander, so a few of the South Stand songs take a bit of getting hold of, but you’re not going to get 2000 people, arms a loft singing ‘Jelly and Iced Cream when Richardson dies’; though ‘Rovers ‘til I die’, ‘We love you Rovers’ and ‘EIEIEIO’ were perfectly executed.
It was a brilliant feeling to see everyone to the man, 6 to 60 years old, men, women and children stood up with arms a loft, singing for their hometown team. Regardless of what the Fowls fans might say about our small following, I bet it looked awesome from the Kop. Well done all.

very true i thought it took a while in the second half for it all to get going again but its these people who need to be dragged together as one in the moat to create an electric atmosphere it just shows what can happen when everyone works together, and also we should never forget what richardson did to our club and should show our feelings alot of the young supporters dont realise who he is or what he did, most if not all on here will do and we must never forget what happened back then as we look at where we are now so from
jelly and ice cream when richardson dies to viva la revolution we can all have a good old sing song

Oh big time; The people must remember where we came from and why we had to
struggle back. Belle Vue is something which we should look to sing more about;
but that's by the by, our fan's were a credit to us last night. Sensational.

as always we must have one of the best away supports in the league but we want to be the best so the same as last night every time would be great but more important is to bring it home

Christopher Walken?  It's quite clearly Tony Christie!

I thought it was a bit wiered when all our end started the sush's so we could all hear the deathly quite that was Hillsborough, we then started a good few attacks and no one was cheering the side on!! it killed the athmosphere that we had created up to that point and took a while before we got it back , overall very good support last night from all.

If we could reproduce that effort at KMS we could be in business.

Join the 'Singing Section' revolution buddy; we'll have that every week. Though, I might sound a bit
biased, but a singing section in the South Stand would defeat the object, you're so far away from the away fans
the banter would be non-existant.
