'fishcake' they call him, well worth the read as it's funny

got me thinking about terrace legends at rovers

first name that came to my head was/is 'two bob shame'
this chap wopuld be outside donny train station early morning for just about
all rovers away games, his ply was 'have you got two bob please mate'
he would ask all rovers fans for 'two bob',never more never less

allways got on the train via 'jibbing' it as we all did so i guess his funds collected was his ale money, whatever was part of the rovers scene in late 1970's onwards.

'RH' who walked to the york v donny game during miners strike as this game was on a sunday.must have been 70+ donny lads sleeping all over york train station as we all went on the saturday night.as dawn was breaking 'RH' comes onto the platform and his jeans/boots were all covered in mud...'fcuk sake RH what yer been upto'....'i set off walking to york from r house late last nite and took a short cut across some farmers fields'

there must be tales by the score out there

no, the other jock,  now  late 40's early fities, still goes to Rovers, remember him getting arrested at Oxford united on a Tuesday night, smacked an Oxford fan in the tiolets just as the old bill walked, exit stage left.  Remember Fat Dan from Misterton, at southend so drunk just slumped onto the snow on the edge of the pitch trying to climb the wall...
The police coming onto our bus all the way from trowell services to calm things down aftersomeone think chainy broke the supporters club sign on the back of the coach,
those were the days

Always remember the two twins from Balby (forget their names) along with Trevor Frost and big Pie man causing a major ruck in the home end at Scunny. It took at least 8 old bill to pin Pie man down.
