It was a midfield with no courage/ bottle or whatever, Oster shirked far to many challenges, to the point of being cowardly Coppinger never strong enough, though thats not what hes there for, Munch done his time got lucky on debut, send him back and Wilson worst game since he came back, and still I think we were worth a point

We really ought to get people up quicker to support Billy, he`s too isolated up top on his own

Midfield was disjointed & had no-one who could pick out a pass or drive us forward. Oster was much better second half & he & Coppinger did their best to create openings. We looked a much better side with the introduction of Hayter after half-time & possibly deserved a point for our endeavour. My own opinion is Hayter should have started from the off as their defence must have had their easiest 45 minutes away from home all season with just one striker to contend with, as good as he is. The supply & support for Sharp in that first half was almost non-existant & for me Hayter must start just behind him on Saturday.

Sharp was getting frustrated tonight. I seem to remember an interview with him, saying that having no service was part of the reason he didn't enjoy playing at Sheff Utd.

He had sod all service tonight. The number of times he had to come about 20 yards deep to try and get the ball was stupid.

Hope Stock is back for Saturday.

Again what did Wilson do he didn't do at Hillsborough?  Nothing, he was the same, he always is.  Yet again we relied on him to make play when he is not a playmaker.  Coppinger and Shiels did not get involved at all, Oster never stopped running but he looks knackered and he's having to do a role he's clearly not used to.  And Mutch just looked well out of his depth.  He tried, but  he's not ready to start Championship games.  Why Hayter was on the bench baffled me.

Got to disagree about Mutch, I thought he did OK after a shaky opening 20 minutes. He does, however, need someone to cover for his bursts forweard and that man ain't Mark Wilson.

On that last point I was surprised Hayter didn't start - think he's done well recently.

All the midfield last night were not good enough and cannot put in consistent performances. Is it their fault? Or they play because we cannot afford better even on loan. Our midfield is worse than last year but we have got better results, why answer we have a striker in Sharp who when given the chances can score. If Sharp had played last year with the better midfield we would have won more games. Without Billy we wouild be in the bottom three. We are on the fringe like 10 other clubs of survival or relegation and we are no better than that.

Agree,I would like to think Stock n mutch would be quite a good midfield pairing for us when stock's back rather than stock n wilson or mutch n wilson. It says how much we rely on Stock and that we have no one who can do his job. When he was out before we seemed not to miss him too much?Maybe it was Gillett who helped the midfield to cope although strictly he was not the same type of player I think he helped chase players down alot with his pace.
