as i said earlier that if the 2 last man tackles on billy sharp had been on a newcastle striker at st james park both would have been red cards well just 1 week later and Barnsley goalkeeper gets a straight red when you can clearly see and the player admitted it afterwards that the goalkeeper never touched him.,

personally i would introduce, just like the respect campaign for referees. If proven players are cheating, well not just in play i mean for like penalties and players getting sending off etc just fine them.

Apparently the ref has already said he gave the penalty for 'intent to foul' rather than actually fouling him.

Complete joke of a decision if that is true.

And the FA will do absolutely nothing to Lovenkrands just going to prove that the Respect campaign is a load of b*llocks.

To be fair to Lovenkrands, it looked like he was going to be clattered and he leapt out of the way, went down, but got straight back up to go for the ball.  He never once looked back at the ref, pleading for a pen like Andrew Johnson does.

I don't think Lovenkrands tried to deceive the ref or anyone, he stumbled over because he had to get out of the way of the goalkeeper, and he did go after the ball after that.

The RESPECT campaign is working. As someone who is involved in implementing the campaign across South Yorkshire, I can tell you it is working. The campaign is to address behavior on the touchline (esp Sunday football), attitude of players, parents, officials and specators to match officals and likwise ref's attitudes to everyone.
