O'Kelly - Sharp move unlikely

Well that was a rather depressing read! Puts the situation into reality though i suppose. At least we stick to our principles.

\"At the end of the day you want a successful football club that is still in existence in 10 or 15 years' time.

\"As much as we'd love to have Billy here next season, finances will determine whether we can do that.\"

Not a totally negative response and it is not telling us anything we dont know.  It depends on crowds and/or whether the directors want to splash some cash on a quality forward.

Actually a couple of things I read from that. \"but O'Kelly believes their next three outings will determine their chance of finishing in the top six.\" (third from last paragraph) and \"We had to really work hard to get a result against them and the next three games, against Sheffield United, Newcastle and Barnsley, will give us some idea whether we've got a chance of getting into the play-offs this season.\". They say to me that the management believe the next three games will make or break our season, and if he's thinking like that then I think Billy will play on Saturday, which is what we wanted to hear.

It says to me that they want more sales of ST's to generate the income to buy him. Basically what we already knew.

Its also good to know one of our management team looks at the table. That was always a fear if neither did and we were in a relegation dog fight. How would they know? ;)

There is no way the JR would let Billy slip through the net.

Tells us nothing we don't know already.  We can't and should not pay silly money for Sharp, that is a fact.

wouldnt matter anyway, like SOD said last week...if he asked the players \"what would you different to win the league\"...they should be saying \"nothing\". if there is anything they would do different, they why wouldnt they be doing it in the first place?

automatic promotion, playoff scrap or relegation dog fight, you should know by now doncaster rovers always play the same way :)
